Costas, In our case, the biggest issue was packaging and keeping the car servicable. For instance, still being able to change sway bars with the bracketry on, while also protecting for steer and bump. Glad you got that right the first time... Well done. One suggestion - get a small video camera and film your tire temp mounts. Most are not build nearly stiff enough. Even a small amount of flex or movement relative to the tire face will cause...

Ok, so I just bought these seats. They are ~21.5 lbs each (with the included sliders). I haven't put them in yet but they seem surprisingly comfortable sitting on the floor . They are very tight fitting. I would guess that anyone with a waist size over 32 ( maybe 34) need not attempt to sit in them. They are good looking seats too. The seats do seem to squeak a little when moving around a lot in them. I can't imagine this would...

Trying to keep this thread relevant... It's been almost a year since my last post in this thread, so it should be no surprise that the state of the art continues to change. Race Technology did modify their firmware so that a DL1 with Dash2 connected logs 12 inputs, matching the Aim MXL Pro and Racepak G2X. They also released a new version of their analysis software with a number of ...

I started left-foot braking about a year after getting my license. I don't think it took long to learn; probably because I was used to hard/late braking with the right foot, so being clumsy with the left wasn't so different. After awhile I tried being smoother for the sake of my passengers, and soon got it down (mostly that was learning the car.) That was with an automatic; now I can brake as ...

Some friends and I are going to the NASCAR race in Las Vegas on March 1st as part of a bachelor party weekend. We wanted to do Vegas and incorporate motorsports, so the NASCAR race presented itself nicely, although we're road racing fans and have experience at those sort of events. I'm looking for input on what parts of the weekend are good to take in at a NASCAR race in general, and am also ...

I really couldn't find another suitable thread to put this in so lets see how appropriate it is all by itself. Crashing could refer to on or off track. In this case, I'm curious about on the road crash barrier's. We are all pretty comfortable understanding on track Armco barriers and the like but how intentional was the following scenario? I was in this crash as the right front ...
