The Island is very quiet with some nice beaches. Not very commercial yet they do have some nice attractions. They built a Serpentarium there a few years ago, and with my facination with snakes, I make it a point to go there a couple of ...

A couple of weekends ago the boys and I did some flipping and after a couple young garters we found this little thing... "brownie" was such a calm and gentle little bugger!!! I thought maybe it's a gravid female, so I released her at our house (10 min. walk from where she was found)!!

Well, in the next week or so I will probably be heading to Waco for a friends graduation. So I was wondering if anyone here new of any good herping spots in or around Waco, TX. I take a hook in my car everywhere I go, so I thought I'd ask.

My family moved to Florida this week (Hobe Sound, SE coast) and we took a morning trip to Jonathan Dickinson State park. Had a pretty nice time....we were really hoping to see some snakes (especially a corn snake!)....but alas, we only saw one snake and couldn't catch it....pics to follow. Also caught a few other small things, thought we would share pictures.
