My relatively new baby corn eats every meal and just did his first shed with me and he shed beautifully! I am so happy and I just wanted to share that with all of you! Thanks. P.S. Other happy corn thoughts?

I haven't been on here for while, so I thought I would strike up a conversation. Anyway, I went to the pet store a couple days ago and was looking at the "baby" corns. I was amazed because not too long ago Rocky was that size. Now, Rocky is two feet long and eating fuzzies like a champ. I was not aware of how much he grew because I see him everyday. It's pretty neat when you can compare them ...

OK real quick post because I have to go, but I have been thinking a little bit about this due to another forum post about "cat hoarders" and it just got me thinking. A lot of us joke about our corn snake addictions and being called "crazy snake lady" . But I sometimes wonder if the compulsion to own a lot of snakes could also be considered a type of " hoarding" behavior. I will try to post ...

So I am about to buy a third rack. Right now the racked snakes are divided by corns and kings. But when I get the new one, should I split the corns into males in one rack, females in another, or does it really matter? What do you guys do? Pairs next to each other? Adults vs. juveniles?

Ok, I have decided that Petsmart is the official Animal's Hell on Earth... Petco isnt much better... but anyway, I recently went to Petsmart to pick up some frozen fuzzies. And of course, being me, I stopped to check out the reptiles they had on display. Under one little maybe 3 gal tank they had two tags, for a milk snake, and for a "fancy" corn snake... I figured maybe they just forgot ...

As you may or may not know, I lost my snake to a fire about a month ago. There's no doubt that I've been torn about it and all I've really wanted to do is jump right back onto the corn snake bandwagon. Unfortunately, since I still live with my parents and they'd likely be the ones paying for the snake, which they refuse to do at the moment, (being sixteen and all...), I won't be aquiring a new ...

The general consensus of people who don't keep, or know much about snakes/reptiles is that snake keepers are "weird". Our animals are yuck, and vomit worthy. On the net, the snake keeper community is HUGE. I never knew a thing about snakes until just over a year ago - and in that time I have gained so much knowledge and met so many wonderful people. Yet it has come to my attention ...

But I would have to definantly check with the Mrs before commiting? Whats your thoughts people? Should we bring back some of the contests? Regards... Tim of T and J

How much do you sell your cornsnakes for? My local petshop (whom I don't trust very much, btw) told me that they would only give me $10-$15... and she'd only pay $15 for a rare one... !!! Not only that but they sell their cornsnakes from anywhere between $80-$150. So she expects me to sell the fruit of my labors, just so she can turn around and mark it up 800%-1500% and sell it!? Is ...

Yep, today was our local reptile show, and sure enough I couldn't JUST get feeders. There was a stunning(to me anyway) Aztec anery. I know I was going for a black milk, but the chances of finding one at our local show are next to none. So when I saw this little anery, I couldn't pass him up. Will take pics after my daughter brings my camera back from her dads.

I kinda disagree... and here's why: Dog: feed in morning put water in morning take out to bathroom in evening play with in evening give food in evening add water in evening bathe on saturday grooming once every 2 months heart worming medicine 1/month Snake: play with a little every day ...

You guys have helped me a few times with moving suggestions, my move got a little more complicated. I leave New York on Nov 1st to drive down to North Carolina. But my closing in North Carolina isnt until November 3rd, so that means I am going to be in a hotel for 2 to 3 days. Im taking the corn snakes down in pillow cases as recommended by you guys to minimize stress. I have ...
