Thanks to PJ and Jay, this beautiful girl arrived at my door this morning. She is a late '07 DH Sunglow (hypo het albino) boa and she's just a babe! I just snapped this as I was putting her in the feeding tub while her dinner is thawing. PJC really pulled through for me an hooked me up with one serious keeper!!! Thanks again, PJ and Jay!!!

at the moment, we've been calling him "ezra", after the bass player from leftover crack. i did my research and found out he's a scaret snake - which doesn't get very big, but makes up for that with it's coloring, and pattern. to make a, some what, long story short. my feline- f(r)iend had made a play-toy out of this little snake, and tore him apart. i was able to get him away from my cat, ...

Well we found out yesterday that my sister's cat is indeed pregnant. The vet seems to think that there will be 3 kittens but we are to go back in a month to have an x-ray done to see how many. Vet thinks they are about 5 weeks along so we have about 4 weeks left. I thought I would start a progression thread on Sparkles and how everything goes. Sparkles is an 10 month old black and white ...

Because even in established neighborhoods, the desert will never let you forget that its there. Just because they knocked down a few cacti and built houses there doesn't mean that the desert life disappeared This guy decided to set up camp right outside my sliding glass door. I was on my way to have a cigarette on my back porch, and had my hand on the door when I heard the rattle. ...

Today was one of the hardest days of my life. I had to put my sweet Yeska girl to sleep. She was very sick and I know I did the right thing by her - but it doesn't make it any easier. She was such a good girl, always very independent. We got her as an adult - someone had found her living under a dumpster. She never did like being held or cuddled (even though I would do it anyways!), but did ...

For those of you who may not been following this.... It looks like southeast Florida needs to make preparations NOW for a category 3 hurricane making landfall around Tuesday afternoon. The track can change, of course, but I certainly wouldn't wait till the last minute to make preparations.

Well iv been debating for a long time weather to get a Tarantula or a scorpion, and after lots of research and hunting around for something i really like, we decided on a red clawed scorpion (P.Cavimanus) We decided to call Him/her Ebony, they are slightly more aggressive than the Emperor scorps, but i didn't really buy him/her for handling, they are just so fascinating.

I'm still shaking from excitment after recieving my dream snake... I have waited 2 years to find the perfect specimen, to feel I was capable of keeping one and of course to be able to totally splash out when I did find the perfect baby. She was delivered personally allllll the way from Essex by Steve Fuller's (breeder) friend. All toasty and warm in her wee box, sitting on her stick....

This is the newest member to enter my house. Hes a 3 week old albino Sonoran gopher snake. YES he is that bright! He is super duper agressive (I have the bleeding wounds to prove it). And he was the clamest out of the whole clutch believe it or not. Another pressie from snakie friends! I really like bullsnakes, but they get too huge for me. The breeder also had albino bulls that I could ...

This is her mum And this is her dad She hatched on the 30th of March 2008, weighing 13 grams. 5 months later, this well established wee banana snake arrives on Tuesday...

My new, beautiful Biak arrived today--purchased at Daytona. I am feeling just like Elle with her gorgeous Siren; over the moon!! I couldn't be more pleased; trying hard not to bother her, but did take pics. She's resting now, all curled up on her branch. I named her after a character in one of the "Dune" books.

I hesitated to say anything about this animal until I was sure it would survive. After the death of the first one I got, I was pretty nervous about this girl. She's doing well though and eating both slugs and snails regularly. She was rather irritated at being brought out of her cage and had flattened her head out as a result. She didn't bite though...something I wasn't surprised with. ...

...since we're getting close to "back to school", and since I've rolled off of the H- D project, I thought I'd write my first theme.... Realizing that she'd have some time with the holiday weekend, and that I wouldn't have another client engagement for a week or so, I was < ahem > "summoned" to visit Pam in Duluth.....nope, not the same Duluth as our beloved Scottsquatch, but Duluth, Jaw-Juh....
