Hello All, Okay, I haven't lost my job. I've been a stay-at-home mom for 6 years and I'm trying to figure out what to do careerwise. I'm 42 years old. I was an office manager about a thousand years ago, and then went to school for my bachelors degree in business. Then I married my husband and started a family. I took a test in O Magazine (Oprah) last month and it said that I should be doing something that allows me to...

I agree with CMBren. You can be creative in finding ways to make things more efficient, etc. Plus, I think going back to school to do something "creative" might be a bit of a waste. You already have a degree that relates to your past experience...do you really want to start completely from scratch again? Why not look at things you do in your field like business analyst, account manager...you can even be a sales manager for a dance...

Hi and welcome to the board! To me, creativity isn't limited to just drawing, painting or writing.? What do you do well that you achieve the results in your own way? For instance, if you're often able to come up with unique solutions to a problem or challenge .. that's creative thinking. Oftentimes, people can be most creative when doing something they really enjoy, whether it's organizing ideas, planning?events, or...

You’ve pretty much answered your own question.   You and your husband are struggling financially and yes, it would definitely NOT be a good idea to have another baby now.   Instead of telling you how to get rid of your desire to have another child – no one knows how to tell you to do that – what I’ll say is to postpone your decision to expand your family until you are financially in a much ...

I couldn't agree with you more that things are not in recovery. I spoke to a "smart man" yesterday who claimed that we are out of recession bc a lot of his stocks are back up. Using the stock market as barameter for the economy is like using the casino as a barameter for the health of your community. But that is exactly what media does. Unemployment is still up (officially 11% but that is only ...

I don't know how old your kids are so I'm not sure this will work. My LO is only 2 - so he doesn't mind right now. But we bought his first pair of hockey skates off craigslist for $5. And I got him some other things from "freecycle" (which is a yahoo group that recycles useful things to new owners). Also, you can give them a coupon book in there stocking like "one day of hiking with your mom...

Sorry to say but more than likely, nothing is wrong with your e-mail. The people that you sent the e-mails to just didn't want to take the time to respond. Not a very professional way to conduct business but that doesn't seem to matter these days.

Thanks so much for your post. I do need to hear positive reinforcement and encouragement, especially now. It is really really difficult for the significant others too. Me and my fiance have been on the verge of breaking up several times because of his unemployment. I know there have been other problems too in the relationship, but the unemployment has been a HUGE thing that has been causing a ...
