I have three so far, but I think these are my important three. Normally, I am not so picky. 1. Please be on time. Just because you have small children doesn’t give you the excuse to be 2 hours late. 2. No arguments before, during or after dinner. And if there are any simmering arguments, suck it up. My sister and I have cooked for hours for all of you. You can do us a favor and ...

If (and, at this point, it's a big if) I have a tree this year the theme will be keeping the cat out of it! I have a young cat who is very vertically oriented and LOVES being outside (even on her leash) and I have no doubt that she would be climbing any Christmas tree I put up. She even tried to climb my ficus tree when I brought it in for the winter! Most of my tree decorations though ...

Try feeding him a diet of chicken and white rice. That helped when my dog had diaharrea. It was kind of a pain because she was a 100 lb. lab! I started buying a whole chicken and boiling it and pulling the meat off, but after doing that once, I ended up buying boneless, skinless chicken breasts - much easier, more expensive, but worth it.

My DD had a similar problem about a year ago. When I took her to the pediatrician I was very surprised to find out that she was completely backed up with poo. When she complained of her stomach hurting I always asked her if she had been/needed to go to the bathroom, and she always said she had gone. Apparently she wasn't going "completely". The nightly stomach aches were her only symptom, but...

No problem to put a tree up on your SUV's roof. I imagine you are getting it from somewhere where they will put it into a mesh tube, or other wrapping device, and then will help you put it on the roof of the vehicle.

When you host Thanksgiving dinner, do you expect guests to help with the clean-up? And if so, do you differentiate between family guests and non-family guests? I've seen several references in Thanksgiving Day-related articles and threads that suggest that it's the guests' responsibility to help with dinner clean-up, and that struck a little nerve with me. Of course it's one thing to be ...

I don't usually encourage lying, but under these circumstances, I would just tell her that you are coming down with the flu and you are very contagious. That will take care of the immediate situation, but how to discourage her at work is another story. Sorry

Wow. I have no idea what you must be going through, but I sure do feel sorry that you have to close your business. It makes me sad to hear that another business has to close. And just before the holidays must really compound your pain I imagine. Here's hoping some good fortune comes your way very soon.
