Howdy one and all to the next installment of the Healthful Living and Weekly Workout Support Group. The last two-week installment was stretched out to a three week one - mostly because I decided to take some personal time and recover after a busy summer. It has been a bothersome time for some folks here, economic conditions are driving lives in more ways than imagined - some good and others ...

5 miles for me today....woo hoo! I was a little hesitant to go for 5 since lately it seems like I am averaging about one, or two at the most, runs per week, but it felt pretty good. A little warm in the sun if you were running, cool in the shade, no complaints. Did some yoga early this AM, too, so a nice start to the weekend. The kids are both marching at the football game tonight. DS ...

Hi New Moms. I thought I'd get us started. Today is my first day back at work. I thought it would be nice getting to pee when I wanted, but it turns out that my coworkers are harder to manage than a 3 month old! Ryan is doing well. He had been sleeping through the night, but has decided not to the past 2 nights. I'm hoping its just issues relating to all of the travel we've done in...

Hi all, We started DD (6.5 months old) on solid foods a few weeks ago. We started with just one meal a day of cereal, usually at dinner, but now that she's started with fruits and veggies we've added in lunch too. I know formula is still supposed to be her main source of nutrition, so I was a bit confused at first on how to incorporate everything. This has been her schedule so far: ...

I guess I'll start this one although I couldn't find an older post that had the opening 'blurb'. Me: Maria, 38 (until the end of the month anyway) SO: David, 35 History: We have a 27 month old that was conceived w/o a problem but David was in an accident when she was 5 months old in which he broke his neck and back. Parlayzed, with movement and feeling though, from the waist down. ...

OK, I'll start the new thread for this month. Though I named it Older Toddlers/Pre-Schoolers this time, just so if anyone out there wants to join us, they can. So, I start my new job tomorrow. Colin moved up to the next room at school yesterday and we bought underwear for him over the weekend. We gave it a try today, had 4 accidents and 1 success in teh potty. He seems to know when he ...

Hi All! Well, I haven't started a thread in some time and I have a run to report! Perfect opportunity. I got in a short & hot 30 min run yesterday. I think I ended up running just over 3 mi. I'm still planning on running a 10K on Sunday so I can log it into the Nike+ human race. I believe Kathy ask about that on the last thread.. Basically you can sign up to run it anywhere (assuming you ...

My poor little boy has had a terrible experience with sunscreen. It resulted in an emergency visit to the pediatrician who flushed both his eyes out. At that time I was using sunscreen lotion for children. I think that day it was Water Babies. I read that a stick is better for the face because it is thicker. So I have been using a stick (Water Babies) for about a month with some success...

HI everyone- Well this last weekend of August was a big one for us. We potty trained Ari, our younger son. So while the weekend was busy, we didn't do much and stayed pretty close to home. Well this allowed lots of time for summer cleaning, which I did like a mad woman. We cleaned up our entire basement and DH built some great shelves for us to organize all our stuff. Cleaned out the kids...
