I never actually flew with them, but I lived and worked at the Yellowknife airport for almost four years. Saw Buffalo Air DC-3s a lot. It was pretty neat to see those old planes flying around.

From the museum info page : Update - Sunday 15th November 4.35pm: The Vimy landed safely at Brooklands at 2.42pm today. Looking forward to photos! Weather wasn't too bad if the satellite pics can be believed. CJ

www.spaceweather.com has the Answer. An Asteroid about the size of a washing machine Entering the Atomsphere and exploding with about the same force of 500 to 1,000 tons of TNT. The Earth gets several such arrivals a year most are over un populated areas or over the Oceans so go un noticed.

Anyone who used to play with Scalextric/Slot Racing/TCR (or still does) will not be surprised to hear that the model I saw struggling along the track kept stopping... and the model on the other track failed to arrive.
