basically Im saying the Final thread does come up a day before the deadline. and that's just the way I do it. And yes rather than having people commenting and such in the finals thread, which means I have to remove a bunch of posts before I can make a the poll, I wait till folks have a chance to put their work up in the WIP thread and get the expert advice on how to make it better. I find that the quality and finish of the work is...

i m fabricating the solstice temple in mohenjodaro civilization (no evidence that they ever had one) so will b doing imaginary stuff.....heres my initial sketch on this....just blocked the composition so far.....crit is welcome

revenbo - Nice! So the idea here is that the temple ruins cast light on a gravestone under which some secret/treasure/secret treasure is buried.

Throwing my hat in the ring here. C+C always welcome. This took me about an hour tonight. Still trying to figure out the burning situation on the right. I avoid adding people like its the plague, but it would be cool to have a gathering around a fire for the celebration.

My WIP. Need to bung in some peoples in the foreground to highlight their culture.

My WIP. I think the end goal here will be post-apocalyptic new yorkers running a salvage caravan over (what's left) of their former city. I'm going to need to come up with some more iconography if I want to sell this as new york and the people as new yorkers. As you can tell, I got a bit distracted painting sand, durr. Not sure if I want to go with actual camels or just something similar; placeholders for now.
