Please understand that we don't give out that kind of information. We have no way of verifying the accuracy of your request. For all we know, you could actually be trying to hack into someone else's pc. Therefore that could put us into a bad legal situation. The only thing I could actually suggest is Google. Thank you for understanding. Bucksfanjimj Moderator

1. Your previous thread was closed, you can't reply to it. 2. Seriously? In the most simple terms hacking is illegally gaining access to another persons pc. 3. It's not that we don't appreciate the reason for your request. But look at it from our perspective, we have no way to verify your story. We have to suspect the worst when people ask for passwords to a laptop. Telling everyone who asked how to gain access to a password...

Yesterday, my brother asked me to look at his computer because he couldn't connect to the internet. I took a look and realized he had viruses and the best solution would be to reformat. I had an extra hard drive that was larger than his so I went ahead and just installed that one instead. Now, I can connect it to the internet and everything but when I do it keeps freezing. He has an old system that my cousin built like 8 years ago. The...

I have an IDE hard drive that recently worked on a friend's computer until it shut down automatically (some fatal error that occurred after installing Spybot--I was actually about to run that program until it shut down, since I knew it needed work since it could not access the internet via neither Firefox or IE);
When it tried to reboot, the Windows Vista 'Orb' ...

First you need to look in the BIOS and see is it recognizing and reporting a hard drive as being there. If it doesn't show a hard drive then Ms. Kitty somehow cause the drive to physically kick the bucket and yes then you will need a new HDD.
Otherwise if it is finding the drive then you need to run the Hitachi drive Fitness test on the HDD to see does it find any errors.

Hi,
I have an Hp Pavilion m9040n desktop, running Windows Vista that is 2 years old. About a month ago, when I would try to start my computer, the computer would start, the green hard drive light would come on for about 5 seconds and go out. The fans would still be running. After trying to start it about 5 to 10 times, it would finally boot up. I then ran a complete ...

The D drive contains the recovery partition. If you ever need to reformat the drive, this is where the data is. You should have a program called eRecovery. This is what will restore everything to factory condition. I recommend that you leave this partion alone.
If space is an issue, start by removing programs that you don't use any more. Look for things that can be put on CD or DVD, ...
