Okay i am a bit confused. You have had difficulties with onboard sound the whole time. So you went and got a PCI Video Card? Do you mean to say that you got a PCI Sound card?

The blue screen error is more of a concern there if you see that again. In either XP or Vista you can disable the auto restart in order to keep that on long enough as well as looking at the information seen in the event viewer. For XP review the information on how to read the log files after getting into the control panel>administrative tools.computer management section. How to view and manage event logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP...

Mak this is for a pci card not his onboard lan. read my post above and take a look here read the comments. It looks like there is a problem with visa 64 and running more than 2gb or ram. There are some links to drivers that some people said works while others say they do not. At the time I feel you are out of luck until the card company produces a 64bit driver or you find a compatible one that will.

it is your card's chipset, not the actual manufacturer of your wifi card.

Hi, I am posting "CPUID" info below (took "dump" info out to shorten), but if more is needed please let me know. Issue: When using skype I can chat, but when I place or receive a call, PC crashes & reboots abruptly. I thought it was skype but then I used yahoo messenger to make a call, and the same happens. My sisters old Dell won't power up at all. I plug it in and I get the green led light on the mobo like I should, but I also get a flashing amber light on the front led once I press the power button. I've tried unplugging everything but the mobo and I get the same results. So I'm guessing its the psu or mobo (maybe power button but doubt it). When I get a chance I'll try a different psu but I'm ...

The other day, I get this pop up window wanting me to install some antivirus software. I try to close it and it keeps coming back. So I shut the computer off and leave it for the night. Try to get on it the next day and it won't completely boot. It took a few tries restarting to get it to boot. It runs for about 5 minutes and gives me a blue screen. For the life of me I can't remeber what ...

My other computer at first just froze up out of nowhere one day, so I tried to turn it off but I couldn't so I yanked the cord. I just replaced my Asus P5GD1 mobo and installed a Foxconn 915P7AC-8KS mobo in my computer(listed in sig). When I try to boot up the computer it constantly acts like it's rebooting every 1/2 second. Doesn't even get close to starting POST. Right after you press the button to start the computer up it tries to boot, then 1/2 second later it will restart again, again, again, again, ...

Ok so I put together some new hardware that my brother bought. It gets to the BIOS screen, but does not recognize his PS2 keyboard, so he went and picked up a USB keyboard, will not recognize it either. I removed the battery for a couple hours hoping that it would clear all the BIOS, no change. Both of these pieces of hardware were new out of the box. So does anyone have any thoughts on what the...

I have the Western Digital VelociRaptor 10k drive SATA. ItÂ’s about 9 months old now. On three occasions I have noticed quite large chunks of data just disappear off my hard drive. Just now I noticed 200 consecutive pictures disappeared out of one of my folders. I tried to use a data recovery program to get them back but there was no trace of them. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on...

Im able to keep the system on while im booted into Kubuntu but it seems to shut off in windows. Could this be a hard drive failure? PS: sorry if posted in the wrong area.
