nah man i dont! I think there is one closer to my house but not really on the way, there is a best buy in wilmington Deleware (tax free) which I might just go spend 120 dollars on some overpriced corsair, I really just cant wait until monday or tuesday for it to be shipped. Thanks for sticking it out with me, now well just hope it boots up without the bios needing to be flashed or something stupid

BIG Problem
Published (2009-11-25 21:01:00)
Ok so I figured out the problem. Turns out that my back fan's red wire was caught between the motherboard's back panel and the motherboard. The smell came from the wire which shorted out and made a small fire in the back Replaced the fan and everything works fine now.

Motherboard blown

Another example of why not to let computers run all the time. Probably got filled with dust and overheated something on the board.

Bump I know there's always talk about the Gigabyte, Asus once in a while someone will throw in the bloodrage or if you want the absolute best the evga classified. I'm just looking to run crossfire eventually and would like pci x16. I wanted personal expierences, some boards run crossfire but I've heard people say there too close together or something on the motherboard hits.

Motherboard blown
My friend's lappy was 3 years old. She did have it on almost all day, work and pleasure. When the motherboard blew the repair man said nothing I can do with this so she bought another lappy (good spec, not expensive). My questions are: could the board have been replaced and how much? She is UK.

new CPU is not working in my mobo
I have a via p4pb 400 - yes, it is a little old, but it is still working like a champ. I found a couple of webpages with specs for it that stated it could power up to a 3.06 ghz cpu. I bought this cpu for it - found it in a working system, so I know it is good - but it does not work in my setup. ...

Perhaps the USB stick is a 1.1 device? have you tried using the USB ports on the I/O panel? Those adapters you get to replace a floppy or something are generally slower.

BIG Problem
Hey everyone, I got a big problem with my computer. I have no idea what to even look for to find it. I woke up this morning and when i went to turn on my comp, it turned on for a split second and then just shut down. Later, I noticed a weird smell from it. (That smell when plastic or something like that burns.) ...
