Though when i try to do any operation it asks me to get signed in. As Lisa suggested and as fas as i know, I think i need to disable some sought of cashing somewhere to get rid of this problem but not sure where to do it. Any pointer or help will be appreciated. Hi Juan, AFAIK it's not possible to achieve it without coding. I know this is not the answer you want to hear :-). But I'm not the biggest document library expert so if you find an easier way let me know and prove me wrong. BTW I would use the " DLFileEntryLocalServiceUtil.updateDLFileEntry(DLFileEntry dlFileEntry) " to change the folderid. Oli

Using my own Velocity variable
Published (2009-11-27 03:08:00)
Hi, I'm trying to use my own Velocity helper class inside a WebContent template, but it is not working. I can successfully use my helper class in the theme, but not in the WebContent template, so the basic infrastructure with the PreServiceAction is working. For some bizarre reason the custom variables are not made available in the Veloctiy context for WebContent templates (Why???), so I need to hack around and get it out of the...

Hi Oli: it's obvious that everything can be done. The question is "is it possible to achieve this without coding?" I mean am I missing something or it is just not already implemented? Regards

i don't think it's possible using service builder's many-to-many attribute. i usually just create my own many-to-many table as another entity so i can add additional columns to that table.

Hi Jeff, You need two things to cover for mail engine settings. 1) enable the JNDI name to lookup the Java Mail session set 1 mail.session.jndi.name=mail/MailSession in portal-ext.properties 2) update ROOT.xml under $TOMCAT_AS_DIR/conf/Catalina/localhost with following 1 2 <Resource 3 name="mail/MailSession" 4 auth="Container" 5 type="javax.mail...

hi Thomas Kellerer, I have the same problem in 5.2.3 despite the fact that a bug was fixed regarding this. When I upload a new document, no version is created. The version number stays at 1.0 and the version history (at the bottom of the page) shows nothing. What am I missing? i have checked the version in 5.2.3, its working fine . Is there a switch to enable automatic versioning ...

Check out this link: http://www.liferay.com/web/guest/community/wiki/-/ wiki/Main/New+Features+in+Liferay+Portal+v5.1 Under Share Any Liferay Application through Facebook or any Website, you'll see a screenshot of what needs to be done, is that helpful?

If we cannot do that with the portal-ext.propertise, is there any way to do that? Do you think we should modify the Manage Pages portlet to disable/remove the Look and Feel component, so that no one can use it?

Hi Vipin, Check your deploy directory. It is set by this property: auto.deploy.deploy.dir= If you can't find it, what version of liferay are you using?
