Does Iverson belong in the HOF
Published (2009-11-26 21:41:00)
mich sports: Top 20???? Wow.....I can think of West, Kareem, Wilt, Barkley, Oscar, Russell, MJ, Magic , Bird, Kobe, Shaq, Duncan, Dr J, Olajuwon, Karl Malone, Stockton, Moses....Hmmmm.....Hayes definitely....John Havlechik(sp)....Lebron, Garnett, maybe the Iceman. Hahah. Terrible list. He's better that Stockton no questions asked. Hondo and Russell were a product of the 100 HOFers they played with. Lebron? Please....

Sportsmine, you are making a mountain out of an anthill. Every team has easy parts to their schedule and every team has some tough parts to their schedule. The Lakers have it easy right now and will have it even tougher in January and Februrary. In fact it is to the Lakers disadvantage to have it this easy right now because then there schedule will be even tougher later on. If you remember Doc Rivers was whining like a...

Conspiracy?

Lakers first 21 games, 17 of those games are at home. What a way to give a team the inside track on starting the season strong Mr. Stern. Doesn't that mean down the stretch they will have more away games? Going down the stretch having a home schedule would be easier.

NBA FACT OR FICTION: Week 4
Published (2009-11-26 11:19:00)
Always fun: 1. Faction. Is Josh Smith an integral part of a winning/contending team? You bet. Is he the early season frontrunner for DPOY. Indeed. But All-Star rosters are just funky. There were 5 Fs and 1 f/c on the Eastern team last season: Kevin Garnett Lebron Danny Granger Rashard Lewis Paul Pierce Chris Bosh . Rashard won't be there this season. And maybe KG is debatable when it comes to Smith. But the rest of them probably have to...

I Have To Admit...

Fact of business, the last time LA beat Boston in a game that mattered was in the finals 2008. But, the Lakers lost the series. Until we meet again in the finals where LA vs. Boston matters, we may as well agree to disagree on all the issues. When it gets down to brass tacks, Boston will be there in June. Will LA? Word.

What TMAC has done?
Published (2009-11-23 17:10:00)
What is right should prevail and in this case will. Insurance won't cover it; if he can play. So TMAC has basically set up a investigation so to speak. Which is why Houston indicated the "back pain". They are mad but they deserve it. I think if Houston did this to Yao, more folks would be angry. But too many people want to hate on TMAC...but for truly no reason. And I disagree it...

The Career of Allen Iverson is Over
Published (2009-11-25 22:35:00)
Go, again, I disagree. Curry ran a system that did not completemnt AI's skill set whatsoever. Curry tried to force a spread offense, when AI was by far the Pistons ' most effective player on offense. Personell wise, the Pistons were the perfect fit for him. They had guys who could overcome his defensive shortcomings, so his role became one of sparking hte offense. But Curry insisted...

James said when he entered the league that his goal was to become a billionaire. Kobe, on the other hand, said his goal was to be the greatest player ever Classic.

The Hawks have the talent to challenge anyone in the league. Josh Smith is playing well at both ends of the floor and seems to have developed more maturity to his game. In Joe Johnson they have a bonafide offensive stud who can take over any game. A true inside presence is thier only major weakness as they need some active post bodies to bang with Boston and ...

Or how Tripp said Kobe was overrated because the best player with a championship team should never have a game where they struggle to beat a mediocre team.

I also went with 6 MVP's. As far as Kareem's 38,000 + points, Kobe is on pace to break it. And if Lebron doesn't slow down in his 30s, he will break it too, cuz he is also on pace. I think both Kobe and Lebron will break Kareem's career points record too if they play long enough. Stocktons assist record seems the most unbreakable to me though... I mean, the guy ...

I've only seen a part of one Hornets game this year Go and the only realy knew thing I saw CP3 doing was that Kobe sort of get the ball at the elbow, jab step, step back jump shot. Has CP3 added anything to his game this year? I don't actually know, I'm asking. That's really the hallmark of the true all-timers. Not to continue loving on Kobe, but this offseason ...

Hornets by a long shot, 1. you fire your coach and bring in GM to be the head coach and expect to wwin championship?2.Chris has just aggrivated his ankle and could be out quite a while.3.The Jazz won by 23 pts. over the sixers last night without D-will because the Jazz have depth unlike the Hornets! joes take= 1) bucfan my man, you want to get into a running and scoring fest with this team? you say that you will be the one to dictate the pace and will just do it better than them. well, as much as the nashman doesnt bring defense he does know how to run a running team. with the defenders you have personally I would of liked you to slow it down more which ...

Also there was a time-out called and that is what you run? Also, HOW was that a foul on Harrington? That was a clean block. I mean they already called the Ray Allen foul (which could have gone either way) and then they call a NO foul a foul. Interesting.

Your really a loser. Who makes a thread about your team the Lakers (world champs) beating up on one of the worst teams from last year at staples? If this was the Nuggets or something go ahead and make this thread. But seriously do you want a doggy biscuit for killing the Thunder ?

LeBron James is dumb for hurting his hand on the rim when the Cavaliers were getting blown out bump. Mo Williams is still garbage and still doesn't deserve the All Star game last year. The Hawks are for real, the Clippers are still in the league?, Vince Carter may have actually learned the word team,

Lewis over KG for the game winner. With J-Will and Rondo running the point, this game will be more up-tempo than I think either coach would like. Howard has post moves this year so he should do fine against Perkins. Expecting around 20-12. Lewis and KG will be a battle, especially if Lewis plays well. Carter vs Pierce is where this game will be won or lost....
