yeah the Red Hood issues are my favourite of the 'modern Batman' books in general, being after NML and before Batman and Son. Compare them to War Games, Fugitive, New Gotham, Hush, OYL, all that rubbish....it's easily the best of the bunch beaten only by Gotham Central which I agree is the best (perhaps even definitive?) Batman post 2000 - before the one-two-three punch of Dini Morrison Miller ...

Someone told me that when TAS first started to air, WB demanded that a girlfriend character was created for Joker, as people were interpreting him as homosexual. Apparently Dini said it in an interview, and I personally wouldn't be suprised if it was true. Anyone else heard anything to support this? thanks!

It was pathetic rationale for writing off a character that the braintrust at DC didn't want around. They would have gotten away with it too had they not underestimated the amount of fans the character had.

Just heard on a local radio station....Pat O'Brien does a little entertainment spot for this station - he said that apparently Nolan is up for a third movie and is rumored to have contacted Angelina Jolie to play Catwoman in the third installment...... Anyone else hear this yet?? Thoughts???

People were pre-outraged months in advance about the death of the Martian Manhunter and spent years whining about Hal Jordan but no one seems too concerned about the death of Bruce Wayne. Is there that much faith in Grant Morrison telling a good story? That much cynicism he'll be back before we miss him? Or are we all looking forward to the return of the one true Batman, Thomas Wayne!

Cornelius Stirk. I think his last appearance was in 1998. I prefer him insane but intelligent. (In Knightfall, he got dumbed down quite a bit. Brighter than Gollum, but the way he was written reminded me a bit of Tolkien's creation.)

In the animated movie Mystery of the Batwoman, there is a scene where we get a hint that Barbara and Bruce have something going on between them. Like something romantic. just wondering if anyone knows anything about this since Morrison recently wrapped up All Star Superman... Has DC ever said if All Star Batman ongoing or does Miller plan to end it after 12 or so issues?
