My primary major is actually Poli Sci and I decided to double major in History because, quite simply, I really enjoy History. However, to switch it around and make History my primary major and Poli Sci as a minor makes me a bit iffy because I'm putting my "for fun" major as my primary :O

Well, if you don't want to post here, then maybe you should just go the source. Email your essays to pope@vatican.org . Otherwise, just post them here, knowing that no one knows who you are.

I think you will find the answer you're looking for in this thread: Why do you think you got in? Keep in mind though, admission criteria changes with every year depending on how hardcore your class happens to be. It's all relative though.

I honestly don't think it really matters. It's math - you either know it or you don't. It's basically integration which is pretty easy, and it's the 3 series, so it should be really easy... I'd choose whatever fits into your schedule...

@MIC, yeah I went for the free food. I know Qualcomm will be hiring mostly software people. IBM was looking for mostly hardware people according to their rep. I kept hearing that software and EE were in high demand, but who knows. btw, i used to go to TBP tutoring last year because they had some attractive girls there but i don't know about now.

^^^ True, most advise you take Mgmt 1a and then possibly try and get through Ravetch in 1b to assess your acconting skills... And yes, bus econ is usually regarded a little higher then econ in the job market.

majors AREN'T taken into account as long as the majors you applied in are under the same school. since undeclared, econ, chem, and bio fall under UCLA's College of Letters and Sciences, you're safe. all four majors will be considered equally when you apply.

Bus Econ is Econ with accounting. In addition to the econ classes, you also take management/accounting electives. The major is somewhat competitive, a 3.3 primary score is needed (like GPA, but Econ 11 and 101 are weighted 3x as much). This major also coincides with the accounting minor since you only have to take an additional 4 classes or so if you plan it right, but the minor is VERY ...

Yeah, there are super seniors. It's not a big deal. I have friends who became super seniors because they wanted to study abroad, because they wanted to take on an additional major or minor, because they wanted to take some time off in-between quarters, because they wanted a slightly less intense workload as an engineering student, etc.

for my essay, i copy-pasted "USC sucks" till the word-limit stopped me.
...maybe it was the essay. It conveyed my thoughts beautifully. And those two words made me a perfect "fit" in the UCLA community. plus it's "original"

Math 3C is probability while 32A is multivariable derivative calculus. You can take statistics or even math-based compsci for math, but don't take my word for it because I'm in the same boat as you.

All I know is that Nachenberg is the Chief Architect for Symantec, running stuff out of Culver City. When I interned in Cupertino on a business team there were tons of Bruins in Culver City doing work.

Usually yes... what percentage of your grade is your midterm... most are 20-30 percent, plus, if you start going to office hours to show your concern/desire to do well, the sympathy card could come into help you.

Im sorry things arent working out for you. Honestly though, this is what hundreds of thousands of adults in the real world are dealing with as well, and they have been trying to get a job for several months.
Those employers are probably seeing over a hundred applicants for a position and many of them are getting rejected just like you. I think a general tip to landing a job is saying youre ...

If you know you're naturally high-achieving then you will be fine.
Now, different subjects require different levels of preparedness. If you took several years of math in HS/CC, then you will be able to compete in math here. If you took, for example, more years of biology than chemistry then that will reflect in your understanding of either material when you take the course. The bottom line is...
