I'm guessing that because you don't have a transcript with them you don't have to report it. But for safe measure call the admissions office at the UCs you're applying to, they will be able to give you a definite answer.

UCSB and UCSD also have Molecular Biology programs, as do several CSUs: Fresno, Sacramento, Northridge, San Jose State, and Long Beach. U of AZ, U of WA, and Oregon State also have Bacteriology programs.

Is that an actual major that you can pick when trying to transfer to a school? I don't see it anywhere on assist.org. Also anyone know if UCSB is any good for this sort of thing?

MrRevelle and Bendy, I also received my TAG to UCD on Friday, and have UCSD as my first choice. Do you guys know if/when we receive confirmation if our UCSD TAG's are approved? Also, maybe I'll see you guys at one of those schools next year too. UCSD is my first choice with Earl Warren as my #1 college (Human Development major).

If you had a bad semester or two in high school, it may be tempting to use the essay to explain your low grades. I don't even wanna deal with you anymore. You are a smarter and a more intelligent person than I am. You can't interpret things as well as someone of your stature should. I've reiterated myself yet you still don't understand. I have made up so many false facts, which I've read on newspapers myself.... Good...

1)I think you dont need to put classes that aren't transferable 2) yes language in highschool counts. 3) I am in your same situation with UCSD i have a 2.7 right now, but someone else told me that just pull that 3.0gpa by end of fall semester because ucsd is paperless and what not.

Yes, you have to report all classes you have taken. Along with all colleges you have ever attended/enrolled. Even if they're not transferrable, they're still inputted.

1) you will not be admitted to any UC's if you don't complete IGETC
2) I think so, not 100% though
3) For freshmen they randomly select 10% of all applications and tell them to verify the EC's and work they have participated in and have a principle or counselor sign a form. There is a rumor that they do the same for transfers, but my counselor at CC told me that he had only done it for two ...

A girl from my honors program a few years ago was a perfect 4.0 and won the jack Kent Cooke scholarship. She was rejected from Berkeley.
It is ok through, she is at John Hopkins University now with a full free ride.

Yes, it has to be the two specific English courses specified in the IGETC, and they both have to be completed by the end of the term in which you are applying. So if you're sending the application in fall 2008 you have to have the two courses -done- by the end of fall 2008.
Your TAG will be rejected but as long as you get the 2 required English courses completed before you transfer you are ...

are you gonna use this as your topic for your personal statement?
honestly, i knows loads of people who have written about the exact same thing, and id say about 40% of the appeal letters that admissions get back are about how the student had ADHA and had to overcome that and ive never heard of anyone getting admitted afterwards (submitting the appeal).
im not saying that you wont get ...

If you want to be a psychiatrist you need an MD, not a Phd. Your major doesn't matter if you're going to med school.

Women's studies! YES! I am a Women's studies major.
UCLA admits per major...so this is good for women's studies. The average GPA I think was around 3.4 with a pretty high acceptance rate.
UCB is a little more difficult because they admit per "divison." Women's studies is lumped into the Social Science divison which is highly competitive with a 18.3% acceptance rate. So basically you ...

The economy is the primary reason you did not get into a UC out of high school? Seems to be a bit of a reach.
But now that I think about it, blaming the economy for our shortcomings seems like a great strategy.
The fact that I am ugly isn't the reason I'm not dating a supermodel--It's the economy's fault.
The fact that I have very limited athletic ability is not the reason I don't ...

I'm going to be transferring to UCSD without most of the pre-reqs. We will get accepted because of TAG as long as our major isn't impacted (which EE is not).

I would just deal with your Dad and just do your education the way you need too. Almost every college student takes at least 5 years to graduate. The UC's are a much more intense than CC and I wouldn't recommend trying to amp it up while you are adjusting.
Another year is not that bad of a thing. 5-10 years down the road you will be glad you did it right and got the most out fo your ...
