Should i apply?

They look at writing. And I believe writing is a really easy section to improve your score on - do lots of practice problems involving grammar and come up with a list of essay examples you can use. I guarantee your score can increase by 60-100 points.

should i bother taking the bio one i signed up for in december? i haven't taken bio since last fall so i probably would need to do a lot of studying to get a good score. i already have: us history - 710 lit - 730 should i waste my time studying for the bio? would it make a difference? despite the requirement, do most competitive applicants take 3+/is there any real benefit from taking more than 2?

**** 61 on my last test. I'm stuck with the C. And I'll wind up with a B in AP Chemistry, too. So a C and a B in one semester... All As everywhere else. What do I do now? Am I confined to the likes of NorthWestern and UC Berekly, now?

If you're applying for aid you get identified through the fafsa or through the colleges own finaid forms. Princeton like a small number of the best colleges is need blind in the app process, so that finaid info is kept separate from the app. But a lot of people speculate that they actually do take income into account - no proof of that either. However the college can still speculate from the info in your essays etc about your socio...

I've been researching the whole site...and it seems the character limit is 2500 characters ( with spaces) because in the online submission any character after the 2500th one is truncated when printed...... I am still not sure about this....does anyone have any clue??? P.S. @YM1992....I AM NOT DONE WITH THEM.....i am on my 2nd or 3rd drafts....so it is more or less done!! @Englishsprout...I have the same question...so I tried a mixed...

2210 is in the 99th percentile, R124687. 2180 is in the 98th. OP, all your individual scores are strong (above 700, which is excellent). I agree that you should try the ACT or do a bit of studying and try the SAT again if you want to. All your subscores are pretty strong; they can be brought up a little if you want to study and retake. You don't have to, though. A 2180 won't by itself keep you out of P.

I have a quick question for you. I've taken my subject tests already one of my scores wasn't really up to 'par' and I signed up for it again in December. Will it reach Princeton in time?

Woah, you're considering stopping at Algebra 2?... Statistics isn't "real" math.

Honors Algebra 2 is a course usually taken in a Sophomore year, with the most talented students taking it as Freshman. You simply cannot stop there.
Pre-Calculus is the finishing point for an average student who took four years of math. You have to get at least there.

I heard from a talk that schools send people mail so you can apply so they get more people to reject so their acceptance rate goes down hence they look better because its harder to get into. Doesnt necessarily mean you wont get in though.

If you already paid for it, why not? You may get better than your 710 in us history so that means you could send your bio score instead of your history one.

i was worrying about this too. i have lots of paintings, drawings and photos that i wanted to show them. i used picasa (freeware by google) and made a slideshow- actually it is a movie file, so it can be played by any video-player, mac or windows... and then i burned it ^^ i dont know exactly if that is the right way to do it, but it seemed to be the least complicated...

There are no minimum grades or test scores required for admission. Princeton accepts applications from students who have not yet begun studying at another university and have not been accepted under another college's binding early decision program. Most applicants are high school seniors, but Princeton will also consider applications from those who wish to leave high school early. Princeton ...

Depends on what the admissions office is looking for in a given year. But yes generally your socioeconomic status and cultural background would reduce your chances by around 2% at most schools.
Again this is quite a rough estimate and can never be verified as there is allegedly "no discrimination based on race".

1) Yes. They do not lower the standards.
2) Yes. It used to be those two sections alone.
3) No, it's the same, but it will seem easier because you have practiced.

LOL. Don't take this as an insult, but my god, 1580 is abysmal! I mean, I got 1950 as a Freshman and guessed on like half of the math portion.
3.2 unweighted is very low. ECs are lousy.
So my honest answer is that there is very little chance that you'll get in. But anything can happen.

Since nobody has responded yet, I'll take a stab at your questions. Quote:
what are the classes like? extremely hard? fairly easy? interesting? lectures? small, discussion-based? etc.
They range. Organic chemistry and Greek composition were difficult for me. Introductory geology was not. It all depends on what you take and where your aptitudes lie.

There is no one factor that will get you admitted alone. They take a holistic approach to reviewing your application, meaning they look at everything. GPA will always be the main part of your application, along with the courses you took. Everything else is secondary.

If you lie about it, it will look very unnatural. They're not looking for a 5 page essay on how inspiring the 800 word speech from " An Inconvenient Truth" was.
If that's your favorite line, then say it. This part is just to show that you're a human and not a robot.
