It really depends on everything you offer. If you score low, but are an outstanding applicant, then they can and have overlooked.

GSP is an ENTIRELY different program now. LSP, Liberal Studies Program, is the NEW name for what USED to be GSP. NYU-Poly is in Brooklyn (a few stops away from NYU Washington Square), but it's still mainly a science/engineering/math school.

Confused about the schools?

It depends. If you go in Undecided you may be able to. Other than that it depends on how much room you have for electives. If you mean performing arts at Tisch though, the only classes you can take as a non-major are the Open Arts courses.

@xmaraki24 hey i think youre fine if you've called and they said they've gotten all your stuff. the letter was literally a paper copy of the email, and i got it a week after i got the email which i got a day or two after i submitted the application, but you know, it says we dont really know your specific case but we got something, so i wrote on their forum and confrimed. so i wouldnt worry if you called!

Have you tried the NYU forums, they usually answer questions like this in about 1 day (or it might already be on there). nyu.edu then admissions, undergrad. The link to the forums is not on the left...it's..top center ish.

i did a haiku, but it was kinda abstract and no i did not mention NYU lol Struggling - but still prevailing in my crusade against the blank page it's supposed to be about writer's block or something to that effect, especially when it comes to answering really odd supplement questions that ask for a poem, limerick or haiku

Nyu essay
Published (2009-11-29 23:54:00)
I think it depends… I don’t, specifically, recommend writing an essay about how you would appreciate NYU’s diversity… rather I would recommend that you write about a moment or example were you were affected by the lack of diversity and how it made you want to search for a place of acceptance…. I hope that helped…

I gaurentee that is about 99.99% false, because the letters are mailed out second week of December which is the week of the sixth I assume and the deadline to hear a response is December 15th depending on how your mail cycle works.

I must add to Miss A's post that if you are posting your SAT scores, post math and reading only as NYU does not look at the writing score.

After you graduate from Gallatin, how sure are you that you'll be able to get a good job? With a degree in "individualized study" hurt you at all, or are you scared of it holding you back? Do you believe that this "individualized" education was worth the money, and that NYU Gallatin has set you up for a position to be "payed back" (good career, etc.).
I'm seriously interested in Gallatin,...

ANSWER: well i guess i would go with the wacky...
REASON: When I was writing this I asked myself what would someone want to film about me? Something typical, like a person realizing their dream and blah blah and becoming a doctor and blah blah blah and raising a family, is not a movie I would want to see.

BTW, I am not going to "steal" anybody's idea. That would be stupid and obviously bad for my application... I just want to know if people are using fictional characters or real life people... And how much of a "risk" people are taking
