AP Biology! Self-Study Or Not?

Then get Cliffs AP review book and learn it, use Campbell's for more in-depth study. Campbell's tend to be superfluous and has a lot of extraneous material that's not even tested on the exam, while Cliffs is concise and covers everything you'll see on the exam.

Is AP Biology Difficult?
Published (2009-11-12 00:09:00)
I don't think the content itself is necessarily difficult, but like everyone mentioned, it requires a lot of time and effort. In my opinion, it's nothing that you can't handle, but the problem I see with a lot of people struggling in my class is just a lot of them are not willing to put the time and effort into it.

Is it worth self-studying for it or will colleges just disregard it since it is the easiest or one of the easiest AP exams? (supposedly I got a 4/5 on the exam)

If you can't take it at school because they don't offer it/scheduling conflicts, go for it. As long as you score well on the AP exam.

Although I'm taking AP French online due to budget cuts at my school (this is the first year it's not being offered), the French teacher gave me some recommendations as to what he had used for his class. You'll need two textbooks. Trésors du Temps is a phenomenal all-around textbook that gives you grammar, vocab, reading comprehension, history, and art. En Bonne Forme is a comprehensive ...

well. seems like you are feeling a little doubt, saying "...or have i really gone insane?" but if you say its easy for you so far, then i don't see why 4 more AP test will be too hard for you, especially since two of them are physics, which is what you are passionate about!
good luck! and Great job!

Well, I don't know what your Honors Civics class consisted of, so it's hard to comment on that, but I think any of those three are relatively easy to take. Just go to this thread: Consolidated book suggestions for AP and find the study book for any particular subject. If you want a 5, I'd suggest studying at least a month in advance if not more. Some people can study the night before and get a ...

No, not really yet...I've already learned the basics of Chem and so far, it's been basically going into those things in greater detail.

if u can self-study ap physics b and get a 5, I'm pretty sure you can get a 5 on the AP Chem exam too. I haven't took ap physics exam, but I could say something about ap chem exam: mostly conceptual, so focus on that.
