I have no intention of getting the Solomon Kane Chronicles because I remember Brett Blevins artwork with a shudder and the Ralph Macchio adaptation of Red Shadows couldn't hold a candle to Roy and Howie's , the first and the bestest.

Got mine as well earlier this week; a beauty of a thing. I see Amazon was supposed to have them today, but they are now stating it is out of stock, apparently for good. The Deluxe is going out fast!

For a character that is so popular from Image, why is it so difficult to find Spawn in collected editions? What was the reason for McFarlane cancelling the 20 issue TPB's?

Received my copy today and it's a thing of beauty. Contains SO much more than the regular edition plus it's larger.

I saw this in a Barnes and Noble last weekend. It's huge. I also checked to see if the Marvel issues were in there (that's all I really wanted to know) and I agree about them having the muddiest reproduction in the book.

Can't really answer all of your questions because I'm not going to be buying this book. I had thought about it, but when I read on the Dark Horse
message board that the book will use the coloring from the TPB Chronicles of Conan and will not reproduce the Gil Kane issues (16 and 17) in either of the
books, I just said no. This is just a HC repackaging of the Chronicles of Conan and, given that, ...

The Somerset Holmes GN Eclipse published has no new material. It's just a collection of the original six issues. (I think it's easier, and cheaper, to
find the original floppies)
As for the story, it's pretty good. Bruce Jones was firing on all cylinders in the early 80s with all his Pacific books. The art by Brent Anderson is a bit
more photo-realistic than the work he did for Jones' Ka-Zar (...

With tfaw.com they also have a clearance section that has some Omnibuses for 60% off, I got the Hulk. Also seen X-Men (60's), Secret Wars, Star Man, Forth
World vol. 2(?) there is a lot of other TPB and HC on there. I did get free shipping but might be a minimum price to receive. My order was $40.99
Might get you to the Clearance section, if not search for one of the books I listed and in there...

I've recently gone on a huge Robert E. Howard (in general) and Kull (in particular)
binge , inspired by Dark Horse's The Shadow Kingdom tpb (review bending).
I was so enthused, that I dived into my extensive Howard collection, reading assorted Kull tales and during the course of this, I discovered that some of
Marvel's Kull continuity appears elsewhere than in the colour comic and these ...

You definitely should pick up Girls. And The Sword for sure.
Both great series well written and very nice art by Luna brothers.

So much for brevity.
I've been a big Robert E. Howard fan since my teens and he's one of my very few adolescent favourites who I still find readable. And I always had a
soft spot for Howard's puritan hero, Kane, so I was delighted when I heard about Dark Horse's revival.
Kane has had a starried comics life. Marvel produced some memorable work, particulary the first story with artwork by ...

My LCS didn't get it, and it wasn't on their invoice. I would also like to know when this is coming out. I have the old Marvel TPBs and have been
waiting for the line to get to this point.

No one on that list that wouldn't be nice to have as a creator centric volume. There are a few others, too, like Wood, Alex Nino, Infantino, and whoever it
was who did those Mummy and Adam and Eve after-the-fall stories.
As for bailing, I have temporarily bailed due to this nonsense of reprinting Creepy in Eerie and Eerie in Creepy or whatever it is. I judge each volume now on
a case by case ...
