Newsweek's Palin Cover
Published (2009-11-25 16:53:00)
Are people EVER going to get over the fact that she IS NOT OUR VICE PRESIDENT? She's not even the Governor of Alaska anymore. So what is with the headline "How Do You Solve A Problem Like Sarah?" How is she a problem? She wrote a book. Big whoop. She's not going to run for President, and if she did, no one would vote for her. Why is the media still so rabid about Palin? She's a nobody now. And really, the...

I think the Bishop has every right to ask Kennedy not to partake in communion if he (as the church), if the individual does by action...something against the church. Having an opinion is not the same thing in my mind as to being someone elected to represent all the constituents and not just those of one religion or the other. Abortion is legal under present law. Well, I guess I am not the right one to answer this question, cause I do not...

ITA...some people are all in a 'dither" over health care reform and how much it might cost the nation, and yet these same people are more than willing to spend billions of OUR dollars to fight a pointless war in Afghanistan. I say lets spend money on health care, education, repairing the nation's infra-structure, etc and turn our back on the military-industrial complex who are making billions from waging war.

Great point, Megan! One of the best and worst things available today is the internet. The net is a wonderful thing for all kinds of information and social interaction to share ideas and opinions as we do here. :-) The downside is that bloggers can post what they want, without fact checking anything (or even trying to), and some will latch on as if it's the Gospel. Rush is a wonderful ...

From Yahoo... PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Roman Catholic Bishop Thomas Tobin has banned Rep. Patrick Kennedy from receiving Communion, the central sacrament of the church, in Rhode Island because of the congressman's support for abortion rights, Kennedy said in a newspaper interview published Sunday. Why Are Hawkish Lawmakers Willing To Pay For An Escalation Of The War But Not For Health Care? In recent days, heated policy discussions in Washington have largely focused on two topics: a possible escalation of the war in Afghanistan and health care legislation. Both a troop escalation and health care legislation carry significant price tags: roughly $100 billion and $80-$100 ...

On one hand I'm all for it, put it front and center and remind the American public of 9/11 they seem to have forgotten. But on the other I think it will be a circus and I can see "mistrial" legal loophole because where are they going to find unbiased jurors? Honestly, I ...
