as ^^^ said, it might also be that memory is slightly unstable. Have seen it happen a few times on my rigs when pushing things, have found it goes away when ram is stable. As you say it doesn't happen constantly just occasionally.

hi guys, i just checked with crucial distro and they dont have double sided rams at all, so what they offer me is 4x1GB single sided rams exhanged with all my double sided. I believe it's unfair for me since I spent a lot of $$ for it last year.. SHould I just surrender all my rams and ask for 2x2GB single sided rams instead? or any other offers I can ask from them?

Ask for 2x2GB sticks, they will be much easier to clock. Also I don't see what's the problem with having single sided sticks rather than double sided ones, using four of them you won't be able to clock so high.

Looks like it could possibly be a bad hard/optical drive or controller. It's worth changing all the cables too, and doing a CMOS clear.

I doubt Crucial has any more Micron RevD chips to use in making double-sided Ballistix (16FDx). If you want D9GMH/D9GKX you're going to have to hunt for some; MemoryC.com - computer memory laptop memory and flash memory supplier still has a bunch and there is always eBay.

Tommylim, I had 4x1gb Crucial Ballistix Tracer (black) 8500 DDR2 on this board (go back about 25 pages and you can read all about it). My OC using my E8200 was crippled at...

just once in a while. Today was the first time in over a month. I've reflashed the bios thinking that it may be the issue. I thought it might be the DVD drive going bad but not sure because when it does boot everything works fine.

@tommylim could try manually setting trfc to 52 or higher when using 4x1gb. also depending on the NB temps i would be happy to add alot more voltage. if the PL is setting itself tight on auto i'd be happy at around 1.4-1.45volts regards

Cheers here's 1st shot. Have picked 3.8Ghz as that's a common speed on Phenom II x4 955 etc., so interesting to compare bwenches. Also not that hard to get either when your in learning mode, exploring new bios

WOW this board looks promising as her "sister"!
I'm really curious, will this heatpipe solution be more or less effective compared to the DDR2 model?

The UD6 features a comprehensive BIOS , the layout may seem a little daunting at first, but after using it for a while, I have to say, it is quite a nice way of doing things.Let's take a look what we have...

Hi mate, sorry xeon is as close as I can get, unless you post me yours . The xeon is the equivalent of the q6800 which in turn is the 10x multi rather than the x9 of the q6600. Am aiming to take a shot at it at 3600. I had a brief play after i did the 2 clocks posted above at 3600, but it wouldn't play. Hopefully tommorow
