Oh sounds a bummer, what block are you using ? I've been using a Noctua 1156/1366/775 backplate & xspc i7 1366 waterblock, with the mounting holes extended Had no problems on either board. Quote: Just out of interest, whats performance like on those 4670s Not too bad lagging a bit with vista & i7 now, have used them for about a year £120 the pair have just replaced them with 2x5770 £120 each  you can see the 4670...

Yeah, def. something up with my block mounting! The caps near the socket on the mobo made it tricky to install, so i had to put the block on without the springs, which made it a bitch to get on correctly. Just out of interest, whats performance like on those 4670s? Surely a single 4890 would have given more bang for buck?

I've done several BIOS flashes already, starting from F3 up to F10f. I'm not sure whether a CMOS reset might help, it's worth the trying, though. I'll look into that tomorrow since I've drunk a few now and I don't want to mess anything up. I'll read up your postings that you linked too, thanks for that.

I go along with Retro when I say thanks supershanks for all your time on this review. I am totally new to overclocking and reading this review has given me some insight. My basic setup is asus pro, i5-750, ripjaw ddr3 2000 and air cool with xigmatek hdt-s1283 in a haf-932 case. I am using your first overclock settings 3.8Ghz 20x190Mhz @8 = 1,520 7-7-7-19 but as 3.8Ghz 20x190Mhz @8 = 1,520 9-9-9-27. Need to learn more before I try overclocking...

Hi, is there any progress in vt-d support matter? I am looking forward to more detailed info about board behaviour with 4 memory modules installed too.

WOW this board looks promising as her "sister"! I'm really curious, will this heatpipe solution be more or less effective compared to the DDR2 model?

Hi mate, sorry xeon is as close as I can get, unless you post me yours . The xeon is the equivalent of the q6800 which in turn is the 10x multi rather than the x9 of the q6600. Am aiming to take a shot at it at 3600. I had a brief play after i did the 2 clocks posted above at 3600, but it wouldn't play. Hopefully tommorow

3.8Ghz 20x190Mhz @8 = 1,520 7-7-7-19 Cheers here's 1st shot. Have picked 3.8Ghz as that's a common speed on Phenom II x4 955 etc., so interesting to compare bwenches. Also not that hard to get either when your in learning mode, exploring new bios Benches SuperPi, Everest, Wprime Passmark & Nuclearus Graphics
