UNBELIEVABLE! My heart skipped a beat when I opened up the box. They look great!! The welds look good to me. It comes with all the gaskets and even the bolts too which are currently screwed onto the o2 holes. IMF, so far so good. I ordered these just a few days ago and didn't expect them to arrive in November, Lol. I was expecting mid December or something like that. But in any case, thanks so much IMF and I hope you keep producing more...

I just swapped a GS motor from a 95 into my 92 SC...The throttle bodys were different so i changed the entire intake manifold (gaskets are metal and reusable if you need to) Wiring harness had a few differences so I trashed it, Had to swap from the front sump oil pan to the mid sump SC pan...Oil filter housing was different as well as the aluminum motor mounts.... Hope this helps.

Since you don't know maintenance history have you changed out the spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor? Might as well change the oil and tranny fluid while you're at it.

92 SC400 is OBDI. Autozone can only read OBDII cars so don't go there. Do this instead:

report back here with results. The codes should still be in there even if the check engine light goes on and off.

get your charging system tested. and if your driving or sitting at a light and your batt light comes on most likely its your alternator.

The install is going to be pretty much the same. I don't see how any different will it be.

Anyone? The resevoir still has some fluid in it but the pump still growls really bad at idle. Its feels and sounds decent at driving speeds.

since we had to put the pedals in we decided that it would be alot easier to do that before we used the lift of course so here are a few pics of the SC parked inside the shop putting the Pedals and the Clutch Master Cylinder in..

I just did my upgrade on the exhaust just a few days ago. What I did was straight pipe the 2 front converters, and deleted the center resonator, with a straight pipe, and removed the 2 rear resonators, and kept the stock mufflers. Overall no dronning, and not too loud. I am very happy with it. Just remember to order the copper gaskets!

You can get CEL readings for free at AutoZone I think...
However, apart from that, if you're not willing to spend money on a CEL reading, you're probably not going to find a free solution to your problem, anyway...

I'm in on this fo shoa.. My car's a 98 sc400 vvti. A 20-30 hp extra would be great! That should get me close to 350hp in addition to the BFI mod and custom exhaust. And with a safe 75 shot of wet ZEX, I should pull high 12's/ low 13's with no supercharger or turbo, Lol.. Now that's what I'm talking about!
