I'm no 02a expert, but I think these are the ones you want? 085 311 113 - oil seal - 6.00+VAT N 903 543 01 - round seal - 2.26+VAT is it deffo gearbox oil and not engine oil? gearbox oil has a 'unique' smell

Ive been having similar problems with mine, is it a manual or self adjust cable? My main problem atm is the clutch pedal stop is missing so it sends the self adjust cable mental, if i hold the pedal down slightly then operate it then its fine

G60 clutch, as in 02a clutch won't go anywhere near an 020 sorry. if you want an 02a g60 clutch you'll need the box to match. if you want to retain the 020 then you'll need the 020 clutch/flywheel combo

Code is a 2y, not shared with anything really, as those ratio's and input shaft are for that car in question. 2nd synchro is common, and as you've said, putting in another 20yr old yearbox could be more trouble than what you have now. Problem you have is that you can't do the work yourself. There are a number of box builders about at the right money(far cheaper than the big names) but ...

what maximum speed do you need? 120kmph? 180kmph? what is tyre size? 205/50/15? what is rpm limit for engine? 7500?

hi i was thinking of puting a gti box on my driver as the clutch is going and was thinking of geting a flywheel lightened buy hotgolf but i would prefer to use the larger 210mm clutch is it werth finding a gti flywheel for the biger clutch
