Hi PAB, what I'm getting at is, if you've got the N249 valve and want it operational then you'll need to plumb it accordingly. However if you don't have, or have already removed all the said pipework and valves, then it just connects to the inlet manifold.

APP injectors upgrade problem
Published (2009-12-09 18:10:00)
Found out today from VAG that the APP engine I have has different size injector seals than the BAM injectors I've got to upgrade with.... Does this mean I need a new inlet manifold? If so which one as I need to keep the TB on the left of the engine bay. Also do I need a new fuel rail?? Thanks PAB

Presume this is a transplant into a Mk2 or Mk3? Or is it in a Mk4?
With a K03S and no cat, you should get 210-220bhp, as long as you've got a decent FMIC. You don't need a 4 bar FPR.

AFAIK you have to change the rods at anything over 280. my mates mk1 20v
bent a rod at about 300.

Doug, I'm not sure if this helps...
These are the homologated DTC profiles for the Gol IV N/A 20V, but I cannot be 100% that the lifts are standard or racing spec.
Someone more familiar with the 20V will hopefully clarify.

Change the coolant sensor.
If bad, it will show you wrong readings on the cluster, and will give you more fuel to burn, and that's why you can smell it.
It's a 10 euro part or something.

When you did the test in the ECU could you see the crank sensor and cam sensor sending values to the ECU
I disconnected my crank sensor to get no spark so that i could prime my oil system when cranking it over after building it , i am using a motec which is different but does show all the sensors and the values when cranking which has helped when getting problems

Maybe this can help? Depending on the car though.

There would be no point in doing the conversion with an AGU, only to swap to a BAM later on. They`re not that special...just happen to be the highest powered factory unit.
Upgrading the AGU to KO4 turbo, higher flow injectors, and Qpeng free re-map and downpipe, later down the line would be sufficient.

The injector rail will fit and its probably the same as yours, the injectors won't fit properly due to the seats being wrong and an audi tt has 2 intercoolers fitted so i wonder which 1 they were talking about?
Why do you want to fit the injectors? have you changed the turbo for a bigger/better one?
