Major overheat in traffic
Published (2009-11-28 00:05:00)
I'm gonna go ahead and be redundant and say replace that damn cooling fan, lol. My DA kept trying to overheat until I replaced it. The first time it happened was the Texas summer in 4 PM traffic. Didn't help that my coolant hose decided to spring a leak too. That was an awesome day.

No, scoops are a means to get air into the intake for the engine, not for cooling purposes. Please don't do it.
If anything, you can space out the bracket that bolts to the back of the hood to give it some "hood tilt." This would allow air to enter from the front grill, pass over the engine, and escape more easily through the cowl.

You dont need HIDs in your high beams. If you want to get them for high beams, you need to order a kit with the correct bulb type for the highs (I think its 9005).
If you want to upload pictures, you first need up put them on an image sharing website, then copy and past the [IMG] tag into the post. I use Photobucket.com as my image sharing site.

The numbers signify the cranking rating. When temperatures get colder, the car is more difficult to start. I believe the lower number is the cranking capacity at 32*F or so, and the higher number is the cranking capacity at 80* F.

Sounds like the ball joint is due for replacement.
If you dont plan on replacing it, which I recommend you do, then clean the threads on the ball joint and clean the threads on the nut. There is something there that is catching it and preventing it from screwing on properly. You could also put a little bit of oil on the threads to lubricate it.

You can buy a new cluster to use for parts. I don't think you can get the
OEM gauges individually, and they would cost quite a bit through the
dealer.

I would definitely go with the gsr blades they are more sporty looking unlike the meshies which look too fancy. When you got the car you wanted to de-rice it and with the meshies you are ricing it again IMO. I vote grs blades.
this car looks sick

I've been doing some searching for Gram Light 57 Pro replica's with no luck. Does anyone know of an accurate replica? Also, I have a red 2000 Gsr and was thinking of a gold/bronze wheel theme. I have blades now. What do you guys think of this color combo? Thanks.
Edit: Any opinion on Rota Grid Racing Bronze rims???

Welcome!
Looks good man.
I would definitely drop it (I can't say too much cause mine needs one too )
Maybe paint VC, & consider replacing tails w/ oem...
That's just my personal opinion though. As long as you're doing what you like, I can dig it!

The rear pistons must be rotated in. They do not just squeeze in like the
fronts
