Agreed. Just like dotcoms, houses and oil... the gold bubble won't end until it too reaches stupid levels. I'll admit I haven't bought any and want to buy some for fear of missing out. That makes me think we could have a crazy rally coming. DM

Dow always start from previous close, so it's hard to read the gap. DIA maybe a better way to see what's the gap of Dow. DIA 103.09 at Oct 3 is the gap to fill which is around Dow 10300. DIA Quote

From the article in your post: The business tax break would allow money-losing companies to use current losses to offset taxable profits earned in the previous five years , giving them refunds of taxes paid in those years. Under current law, businesses with annual gross receipts of more than $15 million can claim losses back only two years. The tax break would help industries suffering losses in 2008 or 2009, including retailers, homebuilders...

that's the way one economist referred to Dodd's recomendation to: Dodd's 1,100 page-draft would strip the Federal Reserve and other regulators of their powers to regulate banks and hand that job to a single agency. The economist (from the IMF) also said that the banks must be broken up and I very much agree with that. I also think the Fed should NOT be given more power as the ...

Gold has definitely started to break into the larger world consciousness. People are rediscovering that gold does have an important and unique role in world finance. But this is still just the mid game not the end game. Gold has moved from undervalued to fairly valued the last decade in a stealth bull not many have been following. Only a few central banks in the world have ...

Gold at both ends of the economic K Wave Excerpt: Risk aversion is on the rise since the credit crisis and investors must look to those assets which tend to benefit from fear. Gold is of course the chief beneficiary of fear and has the added feature of being a hedge against a hyper-deflationary environment. Hyper deflation will be the order of the day in 2012-2014 when the ...

Yes, indeed the nine-eleven events changed a lot ... also there is a guy named J. Adams who has an extensive blog talking about and documenting what he describes as the grand super cycle top that was reached in the year 2000. Btw, the board misses your posts :-)

Funny how many people trading Gold derivatives have no idea that they are simply trading the SPX on steroids. Gold price is directly following the ups and downs of the Market except at a very accelerated pace. Miners should only be bought on downdrafts, never on breakouts. Chartists are of course befuddled by this phenomenon, their bi-focals fog up when they hear such pronouncements...
