Wasn't the Playhouse in Alaska? Karloff could have told other groups that he was providing theater in places that don't have as strong a theater presents. Although, I don't see a Community Theater from Sioux Falls South Dakota being pushy and running up to Boris for a hand out sort of speak.

I strongly recommend picking up a copy of George Romero's Knightriders . He plays Merlin in the film and delivers a memorable performance. A totally unique individual.

Bob passed away on November 16 at age 75 following a prolonged battle with cancer. He was a British army veteran who made a transition to the entertainment industry, and was something of an pioneer in the British Columbia television industry. In the 1960s he began working for the CBC as a production manager and/or assistant director on series like CARIBOO COUNTRY and TIDEWATER TRAMP, followed by the early 1970s series THE MANIPULATORS and then...

That's right, Ryan. James Mason sort of puffed out his words in a very grand and unique way. I loved his portrayal of Doctor Watson in MURDER BY DECREE, along with many of his other performances.

Oh no. I'm just getting ready for work and have had the misfortune of spotting this sad obituary. I liked watching Naschy's monster films... he was one
of the last of the "horror guys".

That's a nice memory of him. He really stressed his gratitude to Boris on that show, who wanted to keep his philanthropy toward Brink's theater group
low-key.

I remember Dennis Cole well from Felony Squad and the sadly short lived Bear Cats.
Felony Squad along with NYPD were good gritty Police Shows and a predecessor to shows like Hill Street Blues and CSI.
A Good solid actor , with tremendous physical presence,
RIP Mr Cole.

Sorry to hear this.
His first significant feature film credit was as assistant director on Sidney Hayer's THE TRAP, a British production starring Oliver Reed and Rita
Tushingham that was filmed in British Columbia in 1965.
One of my favorite movies. RIP Mr. Gray

How sad. I grew up with him as "The Equalizer", and later came to appreciate his work from the other side of "the pond". He was great just
recently in HOT FUZZ. And of course, who can forget that portrayal in THE WICKER MAN...

Though I never had the pleasure of meeting Ron Sproat, I was a great admirer of his scripts for Strange Paradise and Dark Shadows.
As a daily viewer of Dark Shadows during most of its original run, I read the credits after each episode and could frequently predict before their names
