Coffee and bourbon for breakfeast at 3 am... Fastcat1970, Twin turbos have their uses. I'm trying really hard to resist getting into a discussion of TT versus Single but you're pushing it... It is -not- a bling thing, it's an application specific, where and when you want your power most. Do what I'm doing, research a bit more and you'll learn what I know. As for what you guys win? Respect and street cred nothing more...

Remote turbos can be a good idea. Pressure loss is minimal over the course of intake length, and the intake charge does stay cooler. The material expense increases as does the engineering needed the farther they get from the intake valve.

Edelbrock power package top end kit

If this Package supercharges my 302/2bbl with original 220HP to somehow 360+ it is definitely the ultimate thing to do. The price looks more than fair to me - pls correct me if I´m wrong. Mike

Well how much do those T-Bird Turbo Coupes weigh? My 69 Weighed 3520 when it was all together, and that was with a 351 and all. I imagine a 67/8 would be a touch less. I imagine with the 4 banger in there it would also be a touch less. swapping to the 4 banger alone should bring it to around 3400 lbs. Its heavier than a Fox Mustang but a Thunderbird TC should be pretty close to that.

Mount the turbos out back, on the tailpipes.

what brand shocks did you get? Make sure you tightened them down enough so that there is no leak. I bought Monroe, but it shouldn't make that much difference. I haven't put air in mine in about a year.

I gotta '69 so it may not help much but it could give you ideas. Thought I had it loaded up on my album....guess not. I'll post 'em latter and shoot you a note. I did have to weld in a wide plate , but I did it along with the subframe connectors anyway. Worked out pretty good. I had a guy with a hydro bender and notch cutter help me. That was a long time ago - maybe now there is one that can be ...

Thanks to all for the compliments, I really appreciate it..... To answer the other questions....331, Vic Jr heads, Parker intake, Cam Research roller cam, made 402 to the ground with straight 110 running through it and the timing up a little more than I usually run. But more realistically, makes 390+ to the ground running 36 degrees of timing and 95 octane. I have the TCP subframes in it and...

I'm having sequential light problems when the headlights are on. I went to Auto Zone and found out that my battery is bad; I'm going to replace it today. They also showed me that my alternator was putting out 12.9 to 13.2 volts; I didn't think to have them check it under load though. I remember someone here saying that there was a high output alternator that we could use. Anyone know what ...

You can get by with additives on a normal driver. It is hard on the valves, so just plan that sometime in the future you should have hardened valve seats installed and upgrade the valves while you are at it. OR just opt for a good set of modern heads at that point.

I think that you should pay to have a custom cam ground for your engine. Your engine is very much the inverse of what manufacturers ballpark their Cleveland street cams for in terms of marketing. You'll be leaving a lot of driveability and power on the table.

this is an ongoing debate New cars have electric fans because they are better at controlling engine temperature within a narrow range Most people that oppose electrics do so because they didn't fit the right fan combination in the first place With electrics you need to: run a fan with capacity to cool your engine - ie from a Lincoln V8 or equivalent use the correct thermostat ...
