The battery does fit under the seat. I've done it to my own car and on several customer cars... If you don't like the look then don't do it. I personally think it looks better and keeps the battery from the heat of the engine compartment.

It's all about the gearing. You may have to use a lower gear than you anticipate.

Yes, I am a BIG fan. I have owned 14 Ghias over many years of buying fixing and selling them. I currently have a '67 that is sweet. Ask $10,000 maybe less, good luck.

Personally, for that kind of money, I would install a low mileage used motor. Right now there are several in the Tennesee area for between $700 and $1200 Install labor shouldn't be over $600

Prices are really dropping! We bought a 52 inch Sharp Aquos at a spring clearance sale about 6 months ago and like it a lot. They are about $500 cheaper now. The price is getting to a point where you don't have to look at them as a long term investment any more. The 52 inch looked overly large sitting on a stand in a small living room (16X20) but looks great hanging on the wall.
