Naahhh - all you need is a good ready-mixed fluid that covers down to -30C (does exist in the UK, but you won't find it everywhere) ... Windscreen and headlamp washer jets can suffer effective temperatures that are much lower than the 'still' air temperature, due to wind chill while you are driving ... It's been down to -13C here already (before wind chill) and no issues whatsoever ! ...

Didn't know that. On both occasions, when the car was delivered, there was no blue circle as the car would have been standing idle for a while. It took 2 weeks of 2 x 20 mile daily journeys before the blue circle appeared.

Considering the angle of the bonnet non heated jets wasn't the best of designs.
At the time you most need them they are useless.
Having moaned about the Civ though, we are not alone. On a recent trip up the M40 I must have seen a dozen or so other makes pulled onto the hard shoulder cleaning muck off the screen.

Hi Resto, it's Andy from Rebel Motorsport Club. I've just heard the saddening news and feel sick to the core. Trying to find a positive in all this I find myself thankful that your family and yourself are safe.
Best of luck and here's hoping for a quick and satisfactory resolution. Chin up mate.

I've never known a de-icer spray to inflict any damage on paint \ wipers \ seals - on My Civic or on any other car I've had ...
But, unless you are using "Aircraft" grade fluid, thick ice will still need scraping ! ...
Get a good strong double-handed 2-edged scraper (one edge hard plastic for the glass and one edge neoprene for paint etc.) ...
De-icing fluid is only really effective ...

"
The Championship White version of the Type R (civic , integra , nsx) takes the cars into Honda's traditional racing colours, which, if you hadn't guessed, are white.
As well as the distinctive Championship White paint finish first used on a Honda back in 1963."

Hello,
Just making a few enquiries as i've seen an ad for a nice civic 2.2 ex with 56k on the clock for just shy of £10,000.
With this being my 2nd car (currently have a 2002 vauxhall corsa), im a bit put off with what to me seems like high mileage. It's a 2006 (06 plate) and has a full service history.
How many miles are the 2.2's good for? Should i keep looking for something sub 50k ...
