How do you make a world builder save? EDIT: I forgot that TMIT has a guide on it. Never mind.

That's some nice work there! I'm curious why you used the 3.17 patch and the units page on this site when the current patch is 3.19 and some of the unit details might have changed since the webpage was last updated.

The thing about coding an AI that acts more like a human ( not just in intelligence) is that humans tend to backstab a lot more if they think they can get away with it, which wouldn't be very fun for some players who prefer some warning like "You declared war on our friend!" or an attitude set on "Annoyed". I'm scared to play multiplayer (also I can't cause Gamespy sucks) because from what...

New question. And sorry, I didn't search through 200 pages of posts to see if this is a duplicate question. I may yet take some time to read through the excellent responses in this thread, though.
Question:
Many of the buildings and wonders get an increased production speed "with marble" (for example). Does that mean that marble has to be one of the resources available anywhere in your ...

As a matter of fact, I do re-roll a lot, because I play on Archipelago maps and you get an insane proportion of terrible starts with this setting.

My opinion on the topic:
Unless playing on an Earth map or specific scenario, the entire point of Civ is an alternate history. There is nothing wrong with adding some historical accuracy but too much and it starts to feel like historic recreation.
Just because in actual history the Viking/Scandinavian peoples went on to create the nations of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, etc, ...

Option 4. Biology, emancipation, or caste/guilds/chem/SP make the plains tiles worthwhile. Prior to that use the other ones first. Plains mines are OK earlier on too...but worse than grass mines and should probably be ignored in favor of whip below pop 6-7.

A good set of cottages can pay for 10 cities before 1 AD with some room for tech.
The important early techs are monarchy (or pyramids), currency, and code of laws. Move currency up if you have a ton of market resources or just enough to be OK w/o monarchy for a bit.
Courthouses are helpful but are probably not going to carry your economy. Early in the game they'll save you 1-3 gold/city...
