Sorry for the silly question but just moved here and am considering houses in zip 33629. I tried AllState and StateFarm but they don't insure. What do people do in this case?

Hello all, My wife and I are looking at Pinellas Co. for possible relocation. We've been talking about this area for a while, and some job opportunities are beginning to pop up for me. Hopefully this is the time. However, we also have some other life changes possibly on the horizon -- we have been discussing starting a family. We are a late 20's married couple, and the jobs I'm looking...

Depends on where you are looking? If your looking in the South Tampa area Hyde park, Davis Islands anywhere South of Kennedy, North of Gandy and East of Macdill they have defintely hit the bottom and may already be inching up. This is the most desireable area to live in and it's limited in size, everywhere else was overbuilt. As long as you don't pay over $225.00 a sq ft you'll get a good ...

I'm a single, 42-year-old woman moving to the wonderful Tampa Bay area around November 1, and I'm looking for a good place to live. Actually, I was born in Tampa, and can't wait to get back to my birthplace! I'm escaping from the cold of Wisconsin, thank goodness. I want to find an area that's safe, has good shopping nearby, and good access to the rest of the metro area. I'll be looking ...

Have you looked in one of our local newspapers? They are on line and they have houses for rent. They are the St. Pete Times and TBO the Tampa Tribune. Perhaps it would be good if you post what area you are looking in and what type of house, 2,2, 3,2,4,2. What is your budget for that rental.

To complement tampaguy03's suggestions, you might also look around Old Seminole Heights. But, it's about an hour's drive to the Gulf of Mexico. Following is a boundary map from the City of Tampa Website Old Seminole Heights - Maps Also just for more choices is Temple Terrace which is really close to USF. The City of Temple Terrace has re-development plans for their downtown. You can read ...

Hi everyone- We are thinking of moving to florida in the next few months from Long Island. We are weary of the cost to live here and the pace. We have family in Citris county so we have visited quite a bit. We originally thought of Cape coral or fort myers but the job market is bad there. I am a nurse and my husband is a computer hardware tech and even I am having trouble getting work there ...

I keep hearing how "bad" the schools are but on-line many seem pretty much on par with NY/NJ schools whether I check Great Schools, or the Hillsborough Cty and FL state sites. Yes, I'm sure there are some to avoid and every school has issues so what's so "bad" about them? Could someone please tell me what the real deal is? Schools on our possible list are Sickles, Alonso, Gaither and Wharton...

First time poster on this site, so please bear with me. My husband and I are planning on buying our first home this year, and are looking in the Old NE, Crescent Lake/Crescent Heights, and Euclid St. Paul areas. There are plenty available in our price range, and the neighborhoods look like exactly what we're interested in. We aren't afraid to live near downtown and are fairly street smart. ...

My husband & I are thinking of relocating to Tampa from Cape Coral. We met with a realtor and drove from Hudson to St. Pete. The areas we found we liked were Lutz, Tarpon Springs, and Palm Harbour. We didn't like Hudson, St. Pete, or Clearwater. We don't want anything overcrowded or rundown. We don't want a new subdivision with all the same looking houses with too many regulations. We ...

I am expecting a baby in Nov. and will be delivering at St. Jo's Women's Hospital (I refused to deliver at Brandon). I have heard a lot of good things about this hospital, but I would to hear more about the hospital and staff. Any reviews would be great.

I live in the Pocono's, PA. I am 26 years old. Ever since I graduated high school I have had a love for Florida, have only visited, and loved it every time I did. I need to move away from where I am now, bad atmosphere for me, and I am bored with it here. I grew up here. (Its too cold here, I need sunshine and beaches) I was highly considering Sarasota last year, and the plans fell ...
