The thing about San Jose is that there are a lot of important roads, and they don't always behave the way you expect. It's sometimes easier to remember the exceptions to the rules. But mainly the problem is learning what freeways you can access where. For example, it's helpful to know that you can't connect from northbound 87 to southbound ...

Check out Cabrillo College in Aptos. Its a community college so price should be right. Then check craiglist for rentals/roomates of course. Many college students live in SC so you request is a fairly common thing. I don't know about the rest, maybe others will chime in.

i have heard some good things about that area, the rents are way better there than where i live.
i live in the santa cruz area on the coast, but also used to live in san jose too, so i know what's up.
the cost of living is way too high here, the wages don't match the high rents here, $1,000 for a small studio that says for 1 person only.
we have lots of crime, drug and gang problems on the ...

Arastradero West is in a wonderful neighborhood.. anything west of El Camino Real is characterized by beautiful open space and greenery, and the schools are tops.. that complex is next door to Gunn High.
