Funny topic. I usually refer to my bf as 'hun' 'babe' or there's a special name that I call him (part of his first name but said in a cute way)! I've never referred to him with his full first name- unless I'm yelling at him about something.

Well I got all the above and then some, I have been very blessed in my life, I'm not sure why I have been so deserving, but I'm cherishing it and will never take any of it for granted. Sounds like you need new friends. What social circles do you run in that you would allow your wife to be bashed or humiliated by these people? Who are "they" that you speak of, and why do you and your wife care what "they" have to say? "They" don't sound like friends to me.
