Blandon is pretty rural with many farms although the route 222 corridor gets VERY traffic congested. There are alot of new
housing developments near Fleetwood, although older homes and houses of many types can be found in the town and older suburbs. Crime is pretty low, violent crime anyway, although criminal elements come in from NYC on their way to Reading and vice versa. Diversity? Lots of...

What are the people like? Friendly? Interested in fishing/hunting? I am trying to get away from the city types. No offense to anyone, but it just isn't me.

I grew up in
Blairsville, but have not lived there for a little over 20 years. My sister lives there, though, and she has a super cheap apartment that she loves.
Houses are inexpensive, the town is mostly very friendly. When I lived there (as a wild teenager), Wyotech was Vale Tech, and it was NOT cool for the "town" girls to date the "techers." I think there is still somewhat of a division ...

On Saturday a
young woman was admitted to a clinic in the Ambler area. She was attempting to kill herself as an effect of heroin use. She is Blonde, green eyes, nice build and an image of her Grandmother. She has a problem with coping -- things never have gone her way since both her parents though separated also abused drugs. These moments are sad. A wasted life due to drugs. Wasted ...

It would be hard to go wrong anywhere in the area....go east toward Bloomsburg, south toward Elysburg (and two world class wooden coasters at
Knoebels Amusement resort) west toward Milton-Lewisburg (Bucknell Univ.) or north where some Amish have moved from Lancaster Co. to buy those gorgeous farms........

Assuming you are looking to move to PA to save $, you're not going to find cheap real estate around
West Chester (at least not cheap when compared to suburban Baltimore). As a general rule, you're not going to save much (if anything, depending on where you look) in suburban Philadelphia compared to suburban Baltimore.
However, you may find things very reasonably priced in deep southern ...

Lehigh County (where Coopersburg is located) is between Northampton and Bucks County. In order of quality schools I would say Bucks, Lehigh and then Northampton. Prices will go in the same order with Bucks as the hands down highest and Northampton as the lowest. Good luck finding something with ten acres or less with a house on it, for $800,000 or less in Bucks county. You could probably ...

How tied are you to job prospects?
If not so much, there are a number of small towns in northern/western PA with "elm street" type homes that the doctors built in the 1920's. Don't really know about the "
his and hers sink" in the bathrooms unless subsequent owners/heirs put these in.
I suggest northern and western PA because the older treelined neighborhood homes tend to have larger lot ...
