You might want to check out the Crieve Hall area just off Franklin Road and Hogan. THe homes were built in the 50's and 60's...ranch style...but a great neighborhood to raise a family and close to Radnor Lake...not to mention near Brentwood.

I just moved here in January and I think the people are very friendly and I like it but at least where I live in East Nashville it seems to be a common practice for people to just park their car, or sometimes a few cars, on their lawns. I've never lived anyplace where people did that and I think it tends to make the neighborhood look run down to a certain extent. I asked the guy who hooked up...

I am a single 24 year old female and I currently live in Denver. I am looking for a new place to live, a culture that is more laid-back, rich in music and down-home folks- like myself . I have my license to teach elementary education. I am wondering what schools are the best. I was looking into Hermitage, or Sumner County schools... but I have no idea where to begin. Does anyone know of ...

Hi everybody...I'm thinking about relocating to Nashville...does anyone know how hard or easy it would be to land a gig up there and where the best place to live would be for networking? I've opened for Ray Charles, Dixie Chicks, The Eagles etc...so I know my stuff and have been doing this exclusively for the past 20 years. My wife and I are sick of Orlando and would like to get out... BTW...

i am from out of state but was in Nashville for 2 yrs. one of the big issues to me was that everyone always told us that you had to send your kids to private schools. why is this? are there no GOOD public schools in Davidson county? I've heard Cool Springs is good but we would want to be around Green Hills/Belmont.

Murders happen everywhere. I wonder how many people have bought a gun in Brentwood with the string of murders there lately. Or in Bellevue when the lady was killed in her house in the middle of the day? Artemis is correct, there are plenty of people (including newer transplants) that live on the eastside that own guns...you can't group us all in to the one liberal/tree hugger type stereotype. ...

Is there a website for the Nashville metro area that allows you to browse online according to specific areas... without registering and having to provide your phone number so someone can hassle you to death? The specific areas we like are Crieve Hall (lived there as a kid), Bellevue, Belle Meade, Green Hills, and Franklin. It's a pretty broad span, so if I can go into each area and ...

rossc, off-grid property means no public utilities available, living off-grid means you have public utilities but don't use them. yank283, I have all 2 million TMY2 (typical meteorological year) records in a database, and understand solar & wind power. (more than a little) I just trying to find a good way to find off-grid property Thanks, Curbie

Hi everyone, First time posting, but I have read through the forum quite a bit, I am currently living in MN and have been to Nashville once this spring for work for a few days and loved the city. I am a 26 year old single male, looking to make the move by myself, knowing no one down there. I would preferably like to live right in Nashville. The nightlife and obviously music scene seem ...

Hi, We are looking to move into a rental home in Franklin/Cool Springs/Brentwood area a month or so, and I wanted to ask opinions on the most up to date sites to find them. Is Realtracs the best? I've also checked Craigslist. Thanks so much.
