The motor is drawing 4.3 amp.'s... but what is the nameplate rating? You will find that rating on a sticker on the motor. When you dropped down to a smaller horsepower you also dropped down in nameplate amp.'s. You make a valid point about the amount of air over the motor, but you can only cool so much with, say, 65 degree air. I do not think a 1/2 horsepower motor is too weak... its more along ...

What are the updates that are being requested? Look at the cost of the updates, convenience of doing them and return on the sale of the house. That will decide if you should do the updates. If it will improve the value by 10,000 and cost 1500 to do them, do it. If the cost of the updates is say 5,000 and the valuie added is 4, 000 or even 6,000, then fight it. The return is what matters ...

Not even close to rocket science. Any good mason could do it, no real difference between any other facing of veneer type stone. In some cases you should be able to set it similar to setting tile with that type of prep. Mason or tile setter would be the logical choice for folks to contact. Send them to the shop to look at it or give them a pix of it. Might vary a bit on the design if...

If you are talking about waste pipes, then likely they will be replaced with plastic. Are you talking about replacement only in the basement, or under ground too?

That is an odd one. Just a stab in the dark here without a couple answers that would narrow it down better like: 1) Is it always the same parts of the house affected? 2) have you noticed any strange smells around (by strange smells I mean like a burner left on, or like hot plastic or rubber)? 3) Any sounds like a slight buzzing or hum from the panel or meter box? Ran into something ...
