I have to say that if you love the novelty of smoking a cigarette OCCASIONALLY, herbal cigs are great. I have even tried one! Hollywood actors use them when filming scenes of when they smoke. If you do NOT want to be an addict anymore, but you do want to smoke once in a while, this is a great alternative. Just keep in mind these have no nicotine in them. And that is why people compulsively smoke cigarettes every single day...

I'm really not concerned with all of the theories, arguments, and 'studies' regarding colonics, wether for or against. What I find more relevant is this: on the three or four occassion that I've had colonics, I felt lighter and more energetic for several weeks following the colonics. Even IF my increased energy was due to the placebo affect, I felt like I got my moneys worth from the experience. That is more than I can say...

I had it done back in 1995 or so. It was done on a friday a.m. as same-day surgery. I was given some exercises to do in bed, as I remember it was to bend my knee and put my heel as close to my rear-end as I could. I also iced it several times a day. I followed his instructions to the letter and on Monday when I went back to see him, he was pleased. I never had to go to PT. It's been so long that I don't remember what the...

Do you believe everything you see on YouTube? Until WHO ( World Health Organization) comments on this "mutation", I'm not going to worry about it. There are too many other real concerns that are taking up my worry time, thanks!

One needs a knowledge base of health and medicine, before deciding whether a practitioner is a "quack". Otherwise, you are just left at the mercy of the site's "opinions". What might be deemed "quackery" on their list may be bona fide with me. There are practioners on the list I would support and agree with for the most part. But overall it appears the site is doing a good service to steer ...

I smoke--have cut way down but haven't totally quit for just those reasons. I have a busy job and cannot function without being able to think clearly, let alone deal with the horrible depression that comes on when you quit cold turkey.
I've actually thought about taking a vacation, getting a cabin in the woods far from a store for a week to quit and just suffer.

If it were me I would go with whatever care and meds the doctors are prescribing to get him well as long as he doesn't seem to have an allergic reaction to the meds.
Your son is young and has youth on his side. He won't be on these meds forever.
There is a reason people survive accidents that in the past they wouldn't have survived. It is because of modern medicine and medical knowledge.

I have been on bit of a healthy spree for about the past 9 months and the first thing I did was go out and get the best multivitamins I could find. Well I ran out of the vitamins and I didn't notice any difference other than my urine going back ...

I think that today, people are more than ever under constant assault from people whom they don't want to talk to, such as telemarketers, mass emailers, etc. There is an expectation that we should constantly be available to deal with the needs of others, with cellphones, blackberries, constant email, etc.
This state of affairs leads us to withdraw, IMO. I used to like it when my phone rang,...
