These come from real classroom experiences I had growing up.
1. Byron cheated on a science test. He copied the answers
word for word. The person he was cheating off of saw this and on a question he didn't know the answer to, he wrote "Byron is cheating". Byron copied it word for word.
2. Byron (same guy) was passing around a picture of a naked lady. Teacher (same class) caught him and ...

It varies not only from
state to state but also within the different types of preschool.
In Texas, any preschool is considered part of the Child Care division and therefore are subject to the state standards for Child Care, with the exception of any preschool/child care that is within a church. Church run preschools/child cares are not bound by state standards. To be an employee of any ...

I teach an elementary grade, but we are moving to putting more online. We all have online courses through Blackboard. Do you have something like that? This is where we post our 9-week plans, newsletters, projects,
discussion boards, etc. Could you post information such as notes and assignments and have students print them off at home?
By manuals, do you mean the district's program of ...

Look for
Feingold Diet online. They have good guidance. I can also highly recommend Yoga. It helps my child focus and relax.
No teacher 'accuses' a child of having ADHD/ADD or other issues. It is very clear for us to see who struggles and who doesn't. We truly want to help children succeed. We have lots of diagnostic tools available in schools, but I think we have a lot more to learn. ...

In my area you would definitely be more in demand as a male. Not something people like to talk about, that gender plays a role, but as a guy in
elementary education, I know it always did for me. I now work in my district's social studies office and can tell you that every year we have tons more teachers looking for social studies positions than we have jobs for. Math is typically in higher ...

In my opinion, it would be better in your situation to go for the
masters in education. However, there is a glut on the market of english and history teachers. The MIE would at least give you a feel for the education field and possibly introduce you to other teachers and school systems for an IN. You could also try subbing or apply for a job at the independent or Cath schools.
