Hey Everybody! I'll apologize in advance if this posts seems to lack direction and/or focus. I am seriously contemplating a move to the Springs and have found so many conflicting reports, I am having a hard time getting the truth. So here is a little background for ya. I am a 28 year old divorced male from NJ. Not too much education behind me, I do however have my AA degree as well ...

Now that the conventions are over, I thought I'd see yard signs all over the place. I haven't seen but a few local candidates in my neighborhood. I stopped by my candidate's office yesterday and they were all out of signs, someone had just scarfed up the last ones so somebody out there has some. Are you seeing them in your neighborhood? Who predominates--local and national elections?

We're buying a new house and something our realtor forgot to put into the provisions of the offer was that we wanted a door installed on the back side of the garage (our fault for not catching it, but being first-time home buyers, we were so overwhelmed with everything else at the moment of signing documents). The home is finished, but w/out a finished basement, so we negotiated in the offer to...

Can someone tell me if the sale tax rate in Pueblo West is the same as in Colorado Springs? Or is it closer to the 3.9% that you pay out in the Falcon area? I seem to be finding contradicting information online about it.

Here's a thread for all you bakers and cooks out there. I just baked my normally awesome chocolate chip/peanut butter chip cookies, except, they weren't so awesome. In fact they were disgusting. I had to throw them out, and I couldn't even get them off the pan. One pan is still soaking in the kitchen sink to get the "cookies" off. The sugar carmelized into a giant melded mass of ick. What ...

Here in Spokane Washington there is a store called Spokane Discount....it seems that they buy all of Costco's return items and resell them at a discount. Is there a store like this in the Springs?

My husband and I are planning to move to COS in June and will be visiting for one week in March. I am trying to make the most out of our visit and really want to get a feeling fo the town. Any suggestions on great places to eat, have coffee, bars? Hot spots in town we don't want to miss? We're early thirties, no kids, pretty casual people.

My family and I have been thinking of relocating to Colorado for many years and although we like Denver we are intrested in Colorado Springs. The tourist pictures look great, it seems like a great place and of course the Realtor's will always say great things! I am a great believer in a collective opinion of things, so I want to throw the question out there what are the negatives?

Well, the interview went well this weekend and we are waiting for the final decision before we know if we are COS bound or not, but one thing that may make or break our decision is whether or not there are any good Mexican food resturaunts in or around COS. You may think I am kidding and I wish I were but we eat fajitas at least once a week and I am not sure if we could survive without! ...

You've heard right. Of course, I'm sure there are people that will disagree with some of the things. It's important to point out that no matter where you live, you have to make your own happiness. You can either choose to live happy or live angry. Colorado Springs is a great place to live if you choose to live happy. Sunny and very outdoorsy place to live. I've lived all over the ...
