Daughter robbed of camping gear
Published (2009-11-26 15:28:00)
Good grief. When out on a trail, folks usually look out for one another. I have met so many truly wonderful people while hiking/camping. The honor system usually assures that campers look out for each other - not rip off fellow campers! I guess it takes all kinds of people, but that is really really low. I am so sorry this happened. They were camping in a beautiful area. Sorry they encountered someone with no conscience in such a serene place.

I liked Sweet T's. The other place sucks, though. I hope Cosmo manages to stay open, I like their sushi and wide variety of food even though it is not necessarily authentic.

Just want to jump in with a quick word about calling 911. I called 311 once for the police in a non-emergency situation and they told me to call 911. So I did. Ani, you did the right thing, and I'm glad you are ok!

you are not crazy. it does not seem ethically/legally correct to have you pay for services you are not using. but then again i am not sure what is the policy the day care center has. do they have any documents that you may have signed saying you will always pay for a full week ?

It's my understanding that retailers are willing to break even or take a loss in order to bring in business on Black Friday - some cases entering into deals with manufacturers / distributors... they set aside a very specific inventory. i.e. 2 laptops at $100 and 1 50" TV at $500. People line up early for a reason. You ain't getting that deal unless you're first few folks on line.

Harris Tetter mailed out a sheet of 4 $20 off a $50 purchase to select VIC customers. We actually got two sheets. One $20 coupon for every week for 8 weeks. I dont know how they determined who got them, I said it was probably because my wife spends TOO much money there!

Do any of you have jobs? This is tantamount in any relocation matter. If so , then try a rental based upon income. I , too have dealt with having no credit history , it doesn't transpire very well. Income Based Rentals in Charlotte Good Luck!!

Subtract the difference between the Interstate Exit numbers. For example, Mooresville is north of Charlotte off of I-77 exits 32, 33, and 36. The last I-77 exit in Charlotte is exit 18, and Charlotte runs all the way down to exit 1 near the South Carolina border. So, it's roughly 36 miles, give or take.

Going to my parents, but I always do the cooking, whether it's at my house or theirs. We're vegetarian, so no turkey or ham, but there will be stuffing, candied yams, fruit salad, fresh cranberry- orange sauce, peas, mashed potatoes and gravy, and pumpkin pie and cheesecake for dessert.

Welcome to Charlotte! Most people that I know join their local YMCA. I was unsure about that when I moved: I was paying an arm and a leg for a private gym back in Illinois. However, the amenities of the Morrison YMCA, the one I go to, absolutely blow my other gym's out of the water completely. And the key for me is that their group classes, namely the boot camp type classes are hands down ...

Don't have any advice, but good luck collecting. I have heard that NC worthless check laws are pretty tough for offenders, so hopefully that's true! Ask Ani about the sheriff being sent after them...I seem to recall that.
