I've seen a couple of stores that sell supplies, one in mid city off Gov't street, another in on the corner of Perkins and Siegen in the shopping center that
Tuesday Morning and the DMV is in. Sorry I can't remember the names of the stores, but they probably would be able to help you. Perahps you can google jewelry supplies, baton rouge and call some stores that come up. Also check BREC, they...

private schools, but if i'd move to Zachary, public schools would be just fine? And can you please name a couple, because i have no idea of schools in that area.

It's small compared to some other cities, but it does make you feel more a part of the community. Typically everybody in the
booths will talk friendly with you, shoot the bull, etc. The prices are competitive, although the fruit and veggies can be high obviously when they're not in prime season.
The crowds, it depends. It's generally a local crowd unless there's something else going on ...

I know people who commute to
NOLA from BTR. I personally wouldn't do it, but I certainly understand the need to sometimes. It's doable.

great schools to be ...

Riverview puts you close to an industrial area but I think it's pretty safe. I think they've all been remodeled recently, too. But If I'm not mistaken, Chatsworth Court is new construction.
But like the previous poster said, if we know what you'll be working/going to school we can
give a little more insight.
Crossing my fingers that everything works out for you!
