I generally do all my research before I even step into the dealership by reading auto reviews from trusted sources (Car&Driver, MotorTrend, Automobilemag, etc) and then I visit the model specific online forums to get some insight from actual owners. At that point all I have to do is visit the dealer/seller to see if I like the way it drives and I already know how much I'm willing to pay for it because I've seen the price...

They (Ford) are adopting the youth slang term for their own car. It's still a pretty good car, worth a look if what you want is a big-ish 4-door with an uprated engine.

Definitely do it before you buy the car. I have done this every time (twice) I've bought from a non-relative. A mechanic could tell you something like "this car has been underwater" or "survived a fire" or whatever else that could bode poorly for the car's longevity but would not be a quick fix through the warranty. It's not worth taking the chance -- plus you'll have peace of mind if the ...

A lot of us are fat. Other than that, I really don't know why. We're materialistic and spoiled, therefore we have lot's of stuff to carry around. Personally, I think it's pretty dumb the things we drive around in. I've never understood it. We drive around in those ridiculous things, and then we have the nerve to complain about our dependence on foreign oil.

In short, bad business model. Any company that manages to lose money by doing exactly what it is in business to do qualifies. I'm not taking sides in some Demican/Republicrat debate, but anyone can wear a dunce cap and run a business into the ground. Profits? Yeah, sure. If GM and Chrysler made profit over the last decade or so, those quarters were few and far between. Naturally, if ...

What's the current market value of the vehicle? How much would it cost to repair it? If the cost to repair exceeds book value then yes it's a lost cause, at least in my book. Neglect never gets you anywhere.

Did you find that somewhere online? Cause I would like to read it. Remember before I think 1972 the horsepower measurements were basically unrealistic, no accessories or exhaust or air cleaner and 1972 and later engines were measured as installed with all accessories and everything in place which makes the difference between a late 60s engine and the same mid 70s engine fairly small ...
