Published (2009-12-23 17:24:00)
After I debranded my C905A my WiFi worked great. Then I started to get small charges on my AT&T bill each month. So I had AT&T put a block on my phone to stop any use of the internet. (media net) Now my WiFi has stopped working properly. I can connect like always, but when I try to do a search, I get a message saying connection error. I would have thought the WiFi on my phone was like the wifi on my laptop. Does anyone no if...

If that were true it would mean you would have full coverage for at&t's 3G service and you would have 3G coverage in Europe where they use the 900 mhz. Europe also uses the 2100 mhz for 3G service.

it Most difinitely does! That's what Google Sync is - the server address is m.google.com, userid@gmail.com and password is all you need (make it secure connection) Follow these instructions: http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?answer=138636&cbid=dnip32ws932o&src=cb&lev=topic obviously you have to match it up to the SE menu but it's Very straight forward.

Ok I took the battery out, restarted my phone and held "C". Then I pressed identify in the A2Uploader and connect to the computer, but nothing happened. Tried it numerous times but no success. Am I doing something wrong? Also my phone is in the multimedia mode whenever I try to connect to the USB mode. I read somewhere that my antivirus may be blocking connection since A2uploader is sometimes treated as a virus. However,...

Why did AT&T stop offering the sony ericsson W760a phone. What do we do with these obsolete phones, now that they are not offered by AT&T? Will they be back in another form, such as the W760i was replaced by the W760a? Any info would be appreciated.

First of all, this phone is complete garbage. I've gone through three of them so far, with AT&T replacing all but the last one free of charge. That they charged me for the last one when I'd done nothing to it is but one of many reasons I'll be going to Verizon after my contract ends, after renewing three times with AT&T. But anyway, I solved this problem by basically turning off the phone, then turning it back...

Wow, Wi-fi! I didn't think that de-branding a phone would release a treasure chest of goodies. The honorable mentions even make the debranding seem worth it. Keep us posted.

According to the SE website, it may not handle the US 3G frequencies, as what's listed is as follows: GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 UMTS/HSPA 900/2100 The US bands are listed (850/1900), but not specified as UMTS. If you go into the SE site, and choose your region as US, Satio does not come up as one of the phones available. As well, a disclaimer comes up at the bottom of ...

Your PC has to be connected through a device that will assign an IP address to devices on the network. In my case I am behind my home router which will assign an IP address to the phone when it connects through the PC network adapter. Their are other was to try, like ICS but I didn't have to do that. If you take the phone off the charger does it show the phone has a full charge? If so, I'd chalk it up to a fluke and not worry about it if the phone seems "normal" and doesn't give you any problems. If it continues to happen, you could try letting the battery completely die - to phone shut down. Then recharge the battery and see if the behavior continues. Doing this has "reset"...
