In your settings check what the backlight timer is set at. It sounds like your backlight is set as Continuous.

When the phone is not in use the screen glows and the call and end buttons are lit.

Good News on V9x - Motorola -...
Published (2009-12-21 10:43:00)
After watching and searching for months, Wal Mart advised me yesterday that they had several V9x in stock and available for upgrade at $48. I know dozens of people looking for this phone. I've had mine about a year and have never found a phone I like better, or that works better. The clerk at the desk said they discontinued pushing them because they were buggy. I told him mine had no bugs and I had never found anyone else who owned...

How do I access that P2K Commander you wrote about? I need to transfer my contacts from my phone to my SIM card and when I go to "Set Multiple To" in my address book, the only options I have to choose from are "Send Message" "Voice Msg" and "Delete", so i have to go to each individual contact and select "Copy to SIM". I need to copy all at the same...

It's not worth fixing, the cost alone would surpass the current value of the phone.

Karma text message question -...
Published (2009-12-19 13:47:00)
So having just received my karma, I had been texting one person for a little while before she went to work. It worked perfectly fine, after a little adjusting to the keyboard and whatnot. The problem lies in sending text messages to someone else - they keep going to the one I was texting previously? I've tried going to create a message, I've sent messages from their address in the adress book, but every time I go back to my outbox,...

That's about normal for the 9X. Charge mine every other night.

Could you elaborate a bit? There's a difference between stand-by and off. Are you referring to when the phone is not in use, the backlight remains on, or what exactly?

Themes are self-made mostly. They're just the combination of pre-set sound selections for tones (ring, message, etc.) and graphics (wallpaper, screensaver, etc.) Instead just look for SKINs for the Karma. You could probably find them all over the net by now. As for installing them, the ones you buy would probably be able to be sent with an install option via SMS. The ones ...

You could try a master clear and master reset before going to any other options. That's most likely what AT&T would tell you to do after removing your SIM for 30 seconds like they always do. (Though removing the SIM for 30 seconds rarely ever solves anything).

That would depend if your old razor was prior to the AT&T/Cingular merger. Phones which predate this will not work with the SIM card that was provided to customers who upgraded or signed up afterwords. Since back then AT&T and Cingular were different carriers, the phone sees it as a foreign SIM. If it was after the merger, you should just be able to pop your SIM into the phone you'll ...

Whenever you recieve a message it should automatically open the pic, video,..... when you click on it. If it doesn't go to your message center settings/multimedia/receivingmms/globaldownload and change that to automatic. If that doesn't work then your phone is probably messed up. You still should have a warranty

Agree, its ridiculous. I will find a way around it. I paid for it, its my phone now. I should be able to delete as I please. Next time I will buy an unbranded phone if they dont stop forceing themselves on us.
