Anyone crate/kennel their cat during the night? I never thought I would have to resort to such a thing, but now I am considering it. I have two cats. The male has a problem with scratching at doors when he wants in/out. He wants to sleep with me, but he is not allowed to because I am allergic to his hair and he just plays and walks all over me all night. If I shut him outside of my room he ...

My last Dr.s appointment (before Christmas) is coming up soon, should I ask for a note for the airlines just in case? I don't know, I'm sure that at 24 weeks I'd be completely healthy, but the airline doesn't know that, right? Would it be prudent to just ask them for a safe travel note while I'm there? ********************* Kat My husband sugar booger loves me! (There, I am now ...

I know it is possible to get the reubella vaccine seperate from the meas./mumps. My question is what is the name of the vacc and the manufacturer? I can't seem to find it on my own. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vegetarian: Old indian word for bad hunter Mon soldat, mon amour, ma vie.

So I am still searching for the perfect stroller for under $200. . . . . Ok, you can stop laughing now. Anyway, we don't use a stroller much because we mainly babywear. Like maybe it gets used twice a month if that. For that reason I don't want to spend very much for a stroller. If it was something I used every day then $500+ would seem a lot more reasonable, but that's just not ...

When did you start noticing that your child was 'different' (for lack of a better word...)? And how has it been different for your child? I mean in terms of maybe a specialized education or activities. Thanks. Mommy to Bay ('02), Noah ('05), Kailan, ('05), Emerson ('06) and Lola ('08)

DH and I have been talking a lot on when we want to start trying. I will be working full time (8 hr shifts) as a nurse and am wondering how difficult it's going to be to work until I deliver. I know there are a few of you lingering around who could give your experience Also how hard would it be to work part time and go through the BSN program pregnant? I feel like an idiot. Recently, I have been reading a lot of literature about TTC and pregnancy. I never knew that a pregnancy date was calculated from the date of one's last period. I just assumed it that it referred to the date of conception. I had no idea that there is usually a two week difference. So, am I correct is assuming when a woman says she is 4 weeks pregnant, the baby was ...

Got kinda long, but basically, what do you do when a relative asks you/your DH for cash, but says they will be homeless if you don't help? What if they do it 11months after the first time? and get mad when you don't say no, but don't say, O SURE! I would LOVE to pay your rent, month after month after month __________ The whole story, which might not make sense. DH & I have a family ...

DH and I are discussing names for our baby. We both decided we don't want to know the sex of our baby so we need both a girls and boys name. I think we have our boy name picked out: Henry Mark but we are stuck on girl names. I want to use the middle name Len (Yes I know strange spelling) because that is my middle name and my mothers middle name and then my MIL's middle name is Lynn. We like the...

define "potty trained" - 10 new posts

So we've been doing Yogi method and things have been going GREAT! She's had 5 accidents in 7 days, all of which were in the first couple of days. So my question is, at what point exactly do I say "yes, she's potty trained?" The main reason I want to know is that I'm trying to get her on a waiting list for a program that requires kids to be 2 years old and 'fully potty trained.' I can't even ...

Title basically says it all. If your yearly appointment time would fall during your pregnancy, would you still go in? Or is it kind of not necessary since you're seeing the doctor every 4 weeks anyway. I figured it probably wasn't necessary, but I also just thought about it because it's the time of the year that I would need to make the appointment so it made me think about it. Hope nobody ...

This is my dilema: My soon to be 2 yr old likes to get in the fridge and get food out all the time. I do feed her - but she likes to get things like blocks of cheese, jelly, ketchup, and butter to eat. She even drinks out of the milk and juice in there. I have caught her hiding from me eating different things she gets out of the fridge. (today she was under the coffee table eating a block of ...

LOL! DH and I have been passing around the idea of sprout #3, and the baby bug is nibbling, but not quite biting just yet... Well, today I went in for my lovely WWV, and just when I'd decided NOT to ask what the procedure was for getting the IUD removed, just in case, the doctor started hmmmmm-ing in that "uh, oh, what's going on" kind of way. Turned out, my IUD had slipped and was in my cervix...
