QUOTE (mintchocochip @ Dec 22 2009, 12:52 AM) Porn = Porn, Sexy = Subjective I agree. Porn has intent while sexy is an opinion. you can't compare a noun to an adjective... what a lame debate.

QUOTE (Tickitytak @ Dec 21 2009, 09:01 PM) Hmm, a claim that can't be proven or disproven . Morals only make sense if there is meaning to existence; there can only be meaning to existence if there is a God. QUOTE If we assume that a Creator exists, we have to accept that humans have the ability to create their own morals as well Humans can imagine other moral rules, but that doesn't mean they could actually change...

QUOTE (Jedi @ Dec 16 2009, 10:16 PM) It's hypocritical to think that you're doing a good deed by killing someone, just because they killed someone. KNOCK KNOCK. WAKE UP, PLEASE. Killing someone as "revenge" is not what is being discussed here. We're talking about using force in order to prevent someone from killing another. Again, if you saw a man about to stab a helpless person to death,...

QUOTE (Jedi @ Dec 18 2009, 01:33 AM) I agree that both parties are in the wrong. Stopping the man who hired the hitman would be more effective than stopping the hitman, as YayJose was getting at. If you stop the hitman, the man who hired him will just find another hitman. If stop the man who hired the hitman, you automatically stop the hitman as well since he'll suddenly be out of the job. So I think the best way to...

Well for the information of everyone who seems to be interested, we are both deeply in love by the grace of God. So marriage will not only help us, but it will not be done just for the matter of not sinning after lust. Oh, and this IS a debate forum isn't it? Ah, the 'How not to debate' thread. But I'm telling you, Coke *is* baby panda's. If it wasn't, why would the coke companies be denying that it is? Obviously, they have something to hide...

QUOTE (Zme @ Dec 17 2009, 08:23 PM) A better example with abortion is that of contract killing. A man who wants someone else murdered finds a hitman and gets him to do the job. Both the hitman himself and the man who ordered the hit are in the wrong (both legally and, I'm sure we'd agree, morally). In the same way, a woman walks into an abortion clinic and orders a 'hit' if you like, on her child. Both...

I've been wondering for a while now about lusting. Is lusting on your companion wrong? Is it wrong to look at my companions' body and love it? Nude or clothed? EDIT: We are a christian couple, I wonder if it is a sin.

Porn = Porn, Sexy = Subjective Pretty sure I can say this with certainty. Porn isn't 'ever' appropriate, but sexy can be appropriate depending on the beholder/viewer I suppose.

QUOTE (PetalumaBob @ May 26 2008, 06:31 PM) I think the eye is an easy one. Skin cells slowly evolved sensitivity to light. The nerves in those cells over 500 million years developed to transmit these detections of photons to the brains. The ocular cavity evolved before the eye did as an indentation that slowly closed to form an iris. Muscles around that cavity slowly evolved until ...

There is a flaw in your argument based on consciusness. I am unconscius when I go to sleep, but that would not make it right to kill me, would it? If someone killed me they'd still go to Prison. I'd personally stick a limit around 14 days, when the Primitive Streak develops, but would be happy with a limit set when the brain has appeared.

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_bad_is_marijuana_for _you most of your people are very ignorant. first of all if you your self havent smoked or been very close to someone who smokes you should not have a say in it. cigs are much worse for you than weed unless the weed is smoked out of a joint or blunt. one large joint is equal in tar to three cigs, but most people who smoke weed dont smoke...

I don't see anything wrong with it. If it done tastefully, as I said in my first post, the human body can be portrayed as the beautiful thing that it is. I can look at a photograph like that and not think once, "How disgusting. Flaunting oneself about for everyone to see." I can look at it and appreciate the amazing craftmanship that God has done. It reminds me that the human body was made...

It's very clear that those who are brought up in terrible conditions will naturally tend toward survival and "bad" or "evil" behavior. Institutional systems will do the same, influencing people for good or ill. I also think genetics have a role to play in how predisposed we are to commit "evil" acts. All The Evil One does is place obstacles in our way, he doesn't affect us as much as ...

Since when did God EVER instruct us to take justice into our own hands when helping sinners? Do you go " vigilante" style against someone who lies, or steals, or gets angry, or looks at a woman with lust? Instead of following the world's twisted concept of "justice" (which is really just revenge in disguise) we should offer help to those who sin by following Christ's model of forgiveness ...

Anything sexual like that between a husband and wife is perfectly fine. They just have to consider the risks of someone else discovering it. It is technology, and it can be tampered with.

Hmmm. There was a debate about Coke being made out of Panda's here once which listed logical fallacies.
