Check out George Sodini\'s blog (the guy that shot and killed three innocent women at a gym). The guy got the message of the Bible right and use the reason that he was saved by saying the Jesus prayer. Then he think he could do anything after redemption. How twisted! # Gambling Christian

Quote: Is it ok to be a Christian and play in a weekly No Limit Hold\'em poker game for money? Like $10 buy-in with 25¢/50¢ blinds up to $60 buy-in with $1/$2 blinds? I know of this youth pastor that play in a weekly poker game so is that a proper Christian conduct? There is nothing intrinsically wrong with gambling, but it can be a problem if it becomes an addiction, or someone is wasting his money that should go to his family.

I was skimming through the documentary Jesus Camp and started thinking. How does the average Christian view this film? I can picture some Christians thinking the lady goes too far and yet I can imagine plenty saying she\'s on the right track.

According to the Christian teachings, if you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior then you will go to Heaven. But if you never accept Jesus Christ, all your good works or $Millions of giving would not be enough so you would still go to Hell. In this case, Jeffrey Dahmer, the serial killer and proposed born-again Christian, would go to Heaven while some Buddhist monks that have never hurt ...

I've heard it said that the way to get information about the spirit realm is through feeling....I assume that to mean that I should be able to ask myself questions about the spiritual content of a situation and be able to feel, with certainty that it is or is not spiritual in nature....maybe I'd need to practice to get that sort of robust accuracy, but it appears that it should be true that the ...

I am wondering how the Old and New testaments of the Bible relate to each other. Is the Old testament obsolete post-Jesus? What about the things he says that contradict Old Testament teachings? I am asking this because I read the Bible and in the Old Testament found many strange pieces of adive (you know the stuff, don\'t eat shrimp, don\'t wear mix blend clothing etc) that are clearly not very...

Good morning all from New South Wales, Australia!
Whilst looking for some information on Velociraptors I found this forum, and a rather heated argument on whether or not they had feathers (although I think that it started off somewhere completely different). One thing I noticed was that the discussion was revolving around evolution, with two sides throwing nasty comments to one another - those...

ok - this is kind of a loaded question...
basically i'm asking "if all you aspire to is to be go to heaven when you die, is this a bit selfish?"
maybe selfish isn't the word...but if this is one's main ambition, is it rather self centred?
